W4 REGENT STREET NEWSLETTER: April 2013

Dear Neighbour,

W4 Regent Street – a development by The Crown Estate, managed by Exemplar

During April, the majority of the superstructure on W4 Regent Street was completed. The steelwork to the roof is now
well progressed and concrete slabs have been poured for all six floors, with only the roof left to be formed. This
milestone was celebrated in the traditional way with a ‘topping out’ ceremony on the 24 April. In a tradition that
dates back centuries, guests from Westminster City Council, The Crown Estate, Exemplar, the design team and the site
team were on hand to witness Cllr Robert Davis DL, Deputy Leader of Westminster City Council, place one of the final
sections of concrete.

Mechanical and electrical installations to the office areas from the first floor up have also progressed well and as a
result the first parts of the internal fit out works have begun. Cleaning of the retained façades is almost complete and
has been connected to the new steel structure; this means we can start to remove the façade retention system next
month. The blockwork on the ground floor has now fully enclosed the new retail units along Regent Street and
defined the reception area for the offices on the first to sixth floors.
