The journal accepts English and all contributions should be submitted in English. AIMS AND SCOPE The aim of the journal is to emphasize the use of engineering design and analysis, and to strike a balance between research and application as well as dissemination of information to both researchers and practitioners. The journal encourages submissions of innovative and original articles in all fields of engineering and applied sciences. These include mutually but not exclusively articles pertaining to the reporting of advances in theory, techniques, methodologies, applications, trainings, short communications, and book reviews. Submission of an article is taken to imply that the contribution represents an original and independent research has not been previously published and is not currently considered for publication elsewhere. STYLE The ASCE Style Guide at http://pubs.asce.org/authors/journal/ should be used in preparing submissions. SUBMITTING MANUSCRIPTS Manuscripts should be served in word format and emailed to the Managing Director along with a cover page stating name, email address and where applicable, academic affiliation. This is not to deny the vital role of “teaching” in all its various forms and contexts. Action research concerns itself with what aspects of teaching and learning that go on inside classrooms and impact on such settings. It is interesting to note that, with the current opportunities for instant communication and consultation, the need for more research-based academic work is growing at a great pace. The “academic village” is an inclusive village with membership from all disciplines. There is no room there for discrimination on any basis, be that gender, age or specialization. Almost by definition, the responsibility we share is not limited to the academic community in itself. Admittedly, some of the academic research being carried out may be of an elitist or limited nature on the face of it. What matters in the end, among other serious responsibilities, is the academic and human integrity of such work. This may mean that research reacts to current areas and states of knowledge. It also means that we all need to be proactive in our choice of emphasis. We do not just attempt to look for gaps in human knowledge in order to research these. Finding a gap may in itself be a worthy exercise. Pointing out areas of further research is equally important. The list covering areas and types of academic research is long and varied. Scientific, social and economic considerations play a major role in academic research. At ALHOSN University, we welcome collaboration with the private and public sectors by publishing original, quality articles reporting advances in theory, techniques, methodology and applications. We also look forward to vigorous interaction between our readers and us. Exchange of experience and information lies at the heart of academic work. In all cases, we at ALHOSN will focus on areas and matters where we excel and know we can offer meaningful and significant academic and research contributions. We offer this periodical journal as an opportunity for the development of a selection of practical, applied and theoretical points of interest. Submission should demonstrate independent research and originality. Articles to be submitted are subject to blind review and referred by at least three anonymous referees. Authors of articles published in the journal will receive three complimentary copies of the journal issue in which their work appears.
