Community Support The community support for this project has been tremendous. • Advisory Committee Includes residents from Buckman, Hosford-Abernathy, Kerns, Sunnyside, Central Eastside Industrial Council as well as local business owner, nearby resident and the PPS Real Estate Trust. Public Meetings In December 2003 approximately 90 people attended and gave their comments on the project. Topics that have been important include: - Community center with a pool - Preserving views with open space - Sports field for family/youth - Careful handling of traffic and parking.

1st step Secure land for park/recreation purposes • • • Council considers acquisition proposal in February PPS sale price is $5,390,550 Verify value and conduct due diligence Land acquisition to be funded from SDC and other sources
