ChillOut 2010 Event Proposal
ChillOut is set for the Labour Day long weekend; 5 – 8 March 2010. Your
business or group may be interested in presenting an event as part of
ChillOut’s official program.
Plans are now well underway for our ChillOut festival in 2010 – ‘A Bush
Your business or group may be interested in proposing an event to the
ChillOut Management Committee that could become part of the festival’s
official program. This may be a great way to showcase your products or
services to a very large audience of returning and new visitors to our Shire. In
2008, over 25,000 people joined in the fun of ChillOut.
Timing is critically important. To meet deadlines for our printed festival guide
the official festival program will need to be finalised by 15 October 2009. All
submissions will be considered on a first-come basis so please start your

ChillOut 2010 Official Event Eligibility Considerations
1. Events should reflect the Purpose and Values of ChillOut and be
supportive of ChillOut’s ‘Play Safe Policy’ (see attached).
2. The theme for 2010 -- A Bush Odyssey – should be supported.
3. Approved Event Partners may need to make an appropriate
contribution to ChillOut’s promotional and marketing expenses; agreed
in writing in advance.
4. Events that are open to minors and children need to reflect that in tone
and program content or admission needs to be restricted.
5. Images and expressions used by Event Partners should not be
generally offensive or lewd. ChillOut reserves the final right to disallow
references or images in any communication where ChillOut’s name is
6. Event Partners, where appropriate, should provide evidence of
appropriate insurance cover, availability of security and ensure that the
environment is safe, welcoming and healthy for all queer patrons, and
their friends and families.
7. Event Partners should demonstrate how they would cross promote
ChillOut through their own communications and channels.
8. It is highly desirable that Event Partners find meaningful ways to
support ChillOut’s nominated worthy cause.
9. Only approved Event Partners may use ChillOut’s name in their
advertising and promotion of a specific event.
10. ChillOut’s aim is to assist the success of every official event in the
program and to that end has final approval on timing and program

ChillOut is a celebration of diversity. We aim to create an atmosphere of fun
and festivity and encourage everyone to play safely; be responsible, look after
yourself, your friends and mates. Always be mindful of rules and laws,
including drink-driving laws. Protect yourself and your partners by always
practicing safe sex.
