INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD 2011
LARGEST STUDENT DESIGN PRIZE GOES INTO THE NEXT ROUND
October 1, 2010 was the start date for registrations for the 8th International Design
Award 2011. Architecture and design students will have a chance to submit their
designs until 31 January 2011. The conceptual realignment of the largest student
design competition has simplified the participation process and awards universities
that tender and submit term papers.

The International Design Award 2011
searches for interior designs and
furniture concepts, and systems
which best correspond with the requirements of the next decade. The task at hand relates to the three areas; living rooms
and bedrooms, kitchen and eating areas, and office workplaces. Sought after are innovative, multifunctional and creative
designs which differentiate themselves from classic applications. The purpose of these concepts is to solve the future interplay
between living and working areas on the basis of their design, but also technological intelligence. Registrations for the
competition can be made on the official website www.internationaldesignaward.com, starting 1 October 2010.

How will we work in 20 years? When we think about all the
changes that have occurred with respect to the workplace
during the last 20 years - from 1990 to the present - we can
