Dear Valued National City Chamber Members

Message from Ditas Yamane, NCCC President 2008 January 5, 2008 Dear Valued National City Chamber Members: Greetings ! I am humbled to be your 2008 President of the National City Chamber of Commerce - to lead this prestigious organization to increase opportunities for businesses and to represent our members in matters related to business, government, and community relations. A leadership position is elected to a task that is not often easy. There will always be differences of opinion on how to plan or direct the course of business. I have learned that it is important to listen and consider input from constructive sources and it is equally important that discernment be used when the input is destructive. As we confront and address matters on the environment – economic, political, social, and others - that engulf the business community - it will always be the effects on the ability of businesses to contribute to the progress and prosperity of this community. As the President of this chamber, I will seek to build, suggest solutions; and always believing in the innate goodness of everyone. And with the generous support of our Mayor Morrison and Councilmembers Parra, Natividad, Zarate, & Ungab, our efforts in promoting economic development and presenting opportunities to empower and encourage businesses to thrive and to continue to take advantage of the exponential opportunities that our City of National City has to offer - these will support growth and promote a better quality of life! As the 98th President, I will lead this organization with the help and support of my fellow chamber officers and board of directors – as we raise the chamber up – as we give a strong voice for business – in working towards the goals of promoting the business community as well as the community in general. The Chamber works to improve National City''s business climate and quality of life by advocating for members, providing information and promoting business growth. National City is the place for business – and we are in the center of it all! Should you need any assistance from the chamber, please don’t hesitate to call or if there’s anything I can be of assistance, please call on me directly always at your service @ (619) 4742500. Thank you very much – let’s make every day a great day! Happy New Year to all! Sincerely, Ditas Yamane 2008 President National City Chamber of Commerce
