          Investigation of Properties of Tethered Dioleoyl phosphatidylocholine Membranes

Annotacion


Synthetic phospholipid bilayers on solid supports are becoming parcticulary attractive as model systems for
various biological processes research. In this work, tethered bilayer lipid membranes (tBLM) were formed on
gold surfaces. We studied the electric properties of tethered dioleoyl phosphatidylocholine membranes.
Dependence of pH, and Poly(ethylene glycol) a variety was used to estimate several physical properties of
ionic channels pore size. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was used to determined electrical
characteristics.
