This year is zooming by yet again, and Valentine’s Day has just come and gone. Here are some facts about Valentine’s Day that you might not know:• • • • • 73% of people who buy flowers for Valentine's Day are men, while only 27% are women. Only the U.S., Canada, Mexico, France, Australia and the U.K. celebrate Valentine's Day. About 3% of pet owners will give Valentine's Day gifts to their pets. In Victorian times it was considered bad luck to sign a Valentine's Day card. About 1 billion Valentine's Day cards are exchanged each year. That's the largest seasonal card-sending occasion of the year, next to Christmas. 15% of U.S. women send themselves flowers on Valentine's Day.

What you shouldn’t give a girl on Valentine’s day!!! • • • • • A box of chocolates, clumsily rearranged in an attempt to hide the fact you ate all the caramel ones. Any food item with the words "diet", "light", or "high fibre" on the label. Flowers from a hospital's gift shop--or worse, a mortuary's. Any household appliance, power tool or other item from B n Q!! Anything you could have bought at the petrol station, corner shop on the way over, even if you didn't.

• best valentines was on a beach in Oahu (one of the Hawaiian Islands), swimming and relaxing on the beach in the morning, then wandering around the shops in the afternoon before we met a friend for dinner.
