LITURGY OF THE WORD
First Reading A reading from the book of Genesis (3:9-15,20)
[I will make you enemies of each other: your offspring and her offspring] After Adam had eaten of the tree, the Lord God called to him. “Where are you?” he asked. “I heard the sound of you in the garden,” he replied. “I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.” “Who told you that you were naked?” he asked. “Have you been eating of the tree I forbade you to eat?” The man replied, “It was the woman you put with me; she gave me the fruit, and I ate it.” Then the Lord God asked the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman replied, “The serpent tempted me and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, be accursed beyond all cattle, all wild beasts. You shall crawl on your belly and eat dust every day of your life. I will make you enemies of each other: you and the woman, your offspring and her offspring. It will crush your head and you will strike its heel.” The man named his wife “Eve” because she was the mother of all those who live. Lector All : The Word of the Lord : Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm Psalm 97
Response : Sing a new song to the Lord for he has worked wonders.
1.
Sing a new song to the Lord for he has worked wonders. His right hand and His holy arm have brought salvation. The Lord has made known his salvation; has shown his justice to the nations. He has remembered his truth and love for the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Shout to the Lord all the earth, ring out your joy.

Second Reading A reading from 1st letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians (1:3-6, 11-12)
[Before the world was made, God chose us in Christ.]
Blessed be God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blesssed us with all the spiritual blessings of heaven in Christ. Before the world was made, he chose us, chose in Christ, to be holy and spotless, and to live through love in his presence, determining that we should become his adopted sons, through Jesus Christ for his own kind purposes, to make us praise the glory of his grace, his free gift to us in the Beloved. And it is in him that we were claimed as God’s own, chosen from the beginning, under the predetermined plan of the one who guides all things as he decides by his own will; chosen to be, for his greater glory, the people who would put their hopes in Christ before he came. Lector All : The Word of the Lord : Thanks be to God.

The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the House of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. He went in and said to her, “Rejoice, so highly favoured! The Lord is with you.” She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, “Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favour. Listen! You are to conceive and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.” Mary said to the angel, “But how can this come about, since I am a virgin?” “The Holy Spirit will come upon you” the angel answered “and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. Know this too: your kinswoman Elizabeth has, in her old age, herself conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her siexth month, for nothing is impossible to God” “I am the handmaid of the Lord,” said Mary, “let what you have said be done to me.” And the angel left her. Preface
Priest : Father, all powerful and ever-living God, we do well always and everywhere to give you thanks. You allowed no stain of Adam’s sin to touch the Virgin Mary. Full of grace, she was to be a worthy mother of your Son, your sign of favour to to the Church at its beginning, and the promise of its perfection as the bride of Chrsit, radiant in beauty. Purest of Virgins, she was to bring forth your Son, the innocent lamb who takes away our sins, You chose her from all women to be our advocate with you and our pattern of holiness. In our joy we sing to your glory with all the choirs of angels:
HOLY, HOLY, HOLY
Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of power and might Heaven and earth are full of your glory Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord Hosanna in the highest!

Eucharistic Prayer II
Priest : Lord, you are holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness. Let your spirit come upon these gifts to make them holy, so that they may become for us the body + and blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Before He was given up to death, a death He freely accepted, He took bread and gave you thanks. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said : TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT IT: THIS IS MY BODY WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU. When supper was ended, He took the cup. Again He gave you thanks and praise, gave the cup to His disciples, and said : TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT: THIS IS THE CUP OF MY BLOOD THE CUP OF THE NEW AND EVERLASTING COVENANT. IT WILL BE SHED FOR YOU AND FOR ALL SO THAT SINS MAY BE FORGIVEN. DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.
Memorial Acclamation
Priest People (sing) : Let us proclaim the mystery of faith : : Christ has died Christ is risen Christ will come again.
Priest
: In memory of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Father, this life-giving bread, this saving cup. We thank you for counting us worthy to stand in your presence and serve you. May all of us who share in the body + and blood of Christ be brought together in unity by the Holy Spirit. Lord, remember your Church throughout the world; make us grow in love, together with Benedict our Pope, Nicholas Chia our Archbishop, and all the clergy. Remember our brothers and sisters who have gone to their rest in the hope of rising again; bring them and all the departed into the light of your presence. Father, accept this offering from your whole family and from Bride Groom and Bride on whom we now pray. You have brought them to this wedding day; grant them the gift and joy of children and a long and happy life together. Have mercy on us all; make us worthy to share eternal life with Mary, the virgin mother of God, with the apostles, and with all the saints who have done your will throughout the ages. May we praise you in union with them, and give you glory through your Son, Jesus Christ.

NUPTIAL BLESSING
Priest : My dear friends, let us turn to the Lord and pray that he will bless with his grace Bride now married in Christ to Bride Groom and that through the sacrament of the body and blood of Christ, he will unite in love the couple he has joined in this holy bond.
Father, you gave man the constant help of woman so that man and woman should no longer be two, but one flesh, and you teach us that what you have united may never be divided.
Look with love upon Bride, your daughter, now joined to her husband, Bride Groom, in marriage. She asks your blessing. Give her the grace of love and peace. May she always follow the example of the holy women whose praises are sung in the scriptures. May her husband put his trust in her and recognise that she is his equal and the heir with him to the life of grace. May he always honour her and love her as Christ loves his bride, the Church. Father, keep them always true to your commandments. Keep them faithful in marriage and let them be living examples of Christian life. Give them the strength which comes from the gospel so that they may be witnesses of Christ to others. Bless them with children and help them to be good parents. May they live to see their children's children. And , after a happy old age, grant them the fullness of life with the saints in the kingdom of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
People : Amen.
Sign of Peace
