For Support call the SBUS Tech Team at X5491 Connecting Your Laptop to the Projector Step One: Connect the Video Cable You need to supply your own male-to-male VGA cable and male-to-male 3.5 mm audio cable to connect your laptop to the projector. 1. With your laptop turned OFF, gently connect your cables to the VGA port on your laptop and the computer wall port. Be sure the pins inside the VGA connector align with the ports. 2. Turn on the projector by pressing the ON button. While the projector is warming up, the control buttons will be locked and the wait button will blink. Please wait before hitting any buttons during this time. 3. Next turn on your laptop and press the COMP button on the panel. Note: With a Mac laptop, you will need to have a specific adapter that will connect your laptop’s DVI or mini DVI to the VGA cable. These adapters are available through apple.com. QuickTime™ and a TIFF (Uncompressed) decompressor are needed to see this picture. Step Two: Connect the Audio Cable 1. Connect the audio cable into the PC audio port. The audio port is also where you would connect your headphones. 2. Adjust the audio volumes, using both the panels and your laptop’s volume controls. Step Three: Configure the Laptop The method for configuring your laptop to work with an external video source depends on the laptop. Some laptops can be toggled to display to the laptop, an external source, or both. Other laptops automatically detect the signal. In general, connect the display source with your laptop OFF and then power ON the computer. A display resolution of 1024x768 at 75Hz is generally a good resolution to use. PC Users: Still don’t see the image on the screen? Hold down the FN key, and press either F7 or F8 to change the display settings. Wait a few seconds for the display to change.
