Content
Standard:                     1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be
                              able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.



Learning
Standard:                     1.1.2 Able to listen to and enjoy simple stories.

Objectives:
                              By the end of the lesson, children should be able to:
                              a) Say the chant
                              b) Understand the story
                              c) Invent a present for the master using recycled materials.

Time:                         60 min
Teaching Aids:
                              Laptop/projector, flash cards, recycled materials, multi purpose
                              glue, stapler, cellophane tape.

 Shows flash cards of the monster, chocolate, camera, shorts and computer games to the students to
 pre-teach the words in the story.
 Tells the story to the students with the help of the flash cards.

3. Teacher discusses the story with the students. Teacher asks the
   students what they would like to give to the monster as a birthday
   present.


4. Teacher divides the students into groups of five. Each group is given
   various recycled materials. Each group invents their present using the
   recycled materials.

5. Each group presents their invention/present for the monster. Teacher
   guides the students to explain their present.
