                                   THEALE GREEN COMMUNITY SCHOOL

                                          We are seeking to appoint a

                                           COVER SUPERVISOR
                         Up to 30 hours per week, term time only + staff training days
                        Salary range £16137-£18450 pro rata and subject to pay award

                            We require a Cover Supervisor to supervise classes during
                   the short-term absence of the class teacher under the guidance of senior
                  staff and be responsible for the behaviour and management of the students
                    during the lesson. This will involve giving help and support to students,
                   by distributing and explaining to students the work set by absent teachers,
                      collecting work and materials from students at the end of the lesson.
                        You will be attached to a department and will also provide general
                   classroom support, and assistance with the organisation of resources and
                                                   display work.

                    The successful applicant will demonstrate a real interest in working with
                     young people together with the ability to apply a fair, firm and friendly
                                                   approach.

                      This role gives the opportunity of a worthwhile long term career in
                   Education, in certain circumstances giving the possibility to become in due
                                      course a qualified classroom teacher.


                                          SCIENCE TECHNICIAN
                                      30 hours per week, term time only
                        Salary range £13854-£15096 pro rata and subject to pay award

                     To work in the school’s well developed and busy Science Department.
                             The successful applicant will be team-orientated and
                                     keen to work in a school environment.
                         Experience within a scientific environment would be a distinct
                                    advantage but training will be provided.
