                                     BRYANT & STRATTON COLLEGE
                                      Institutional Reauthorization

Request:
Bryant & Stratton College requests continued authorization from the Chancellor of the Ohio Board of
Regents.

Profile:
Bryant & Stratton College is a private, for-profit, co-educational institution administratively
headquartered in Buffalo, New York. Originally established in 1852 as the Bryant & Stratton Mercantile
College in Cleveland, Ohio, the college today offers associate and bachelor’s degrees online and at
campuses in New York, Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Accreditation/Authorization:
Bryant & Stratton College is regionally accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle
States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSCHE) and has been authorized by the Chancellor of the
Ohio Board of Regents since 2002 to offer programs at sites in Akron, Cleveland, East Lake, and Parma.

Program Offerings:
Bryant & Stratton College offers the following degrees: Associate of Applied Science, Bachelor of
Business Administration, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Institutional Changes:
Since the college's last reauthorization review, the institution expanded its program offerings to new
delivery sites, and expanded/reduced program offerings to better align resources with student,
community, and industry needs.

Recommendation to the Chancellor:
Bryant & Stratton College meets the Chancellor's standards, and the staff recommends continued
institutional authorization through December 31, 2017, to coincide with the college's next accreditation
reaffirmation review with the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of
Colleges and Schools. Authorization will continue, contingent upon continuing accreditation from
MSCHE. The Chancellor may, in their judgment, withdraw authorization or require additional review if
the college fails to continue to meet the Chancellor’s standards for authorization or is sanctioned by
MSCHE.
