 Overview
 Mushrooms are a wonderful addition to any meal because they are tasty and
 low in calories.


 Food Value
 This is a wonderful treat for the holidays or if you need to take something to a
 friend as a treat. Makes 25 moderate sized mushrooms. By the way, you save
 nothing in calories or fat by using margarine over butter.

 Ingredients                                                                          1 Tbsp Butter

 1 stick butter                                                                       2 small shallots
 1 small onion, minced
                                                                                      1 clove garlic
 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
 1/3 cup sweet Vermouth                                                               2 Tbsp chopped walnuts
 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
 1 cup plain bread crumbs                                                             2 Tbsp chopped parsley
 1 lb. mushrooms (remove stems and finely chop)
 1/2 teaspoon salt                                                                    1 teaspoon dried thyme
 1/4 teaspoon pepper
 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder                                                           2 Tbsp breadcrumbs
 1/4 teaspoon oregano
                                                                                      2 Tbsp sherry

 Instructions                                                                         2 Tbsp olive oil

 Melt butter in skillet. Cook onion until translucent. Add chopped stems. Stir in     2 Tbsp parmesan cheese
 bread crumbs, seasonings, and cheese. Brown lightly. Add sweet Vermouth
 last. Toss lightly to combine well. Stuff mushroom caps with mixture. Bake at
 350°F for 15 minutes.                                                                This cuts the calories to 21 per
                                                                                      mushroom and 2 grams of fat per

 My opinion                                                                           rich in flavor …
