Oak Crest Day Camp Somerset, New Jersey Camp Counselor Summers of 2004 – 2007 Responsible for a group of 15 seven-year-olds for 8 hours a day. Received “Best Counselor” and “Staff Superstar” awards. The experience as a camp counselor enabled me to develop my leadership and communication skills, while also having a lot of fun.
Projects: (2008) Created a 3D Adventure Game compatible with XBOX 360 using XNA in a group of three artists and two programmers (2007) Created a strategy/puzzle game involving attraction and repulsion physics along with complex level design in Python called “Messing With the Crowd”. (2007) Worked in a team of four programmers and an artist on various game projects for the Game Development course. Projects included a humorous scrolling space shooter arcade game called “Commie Blaster”. That game consisted of three levels of increasing difficulty, three types of enemies, three bosses, several types of upgrades, and an animated heads up display. (2007) Served as Vice President and active member of programming team at RPI Game Development Club. Through this club, created various small games experimenting with collision detection, sprite manipulation, sound effects and user interfaces. (2006) Designed and developed an asteroid shooting game with nine levels in Java. (2004-2006) Captain of programming team of Montgomery High School FIRST Robotics. o Developed robot controller software in C that included autonomous operation and computer vision. o Mentored other programmers.
