Download for Windows Mail for Vista Users Only
We have 3 ways for you to use Vista Windows Mail now thanks to Willie, Willie thank you so much!!! You can choose the eml way or the exe way or the imf way, whichever you like better.. :-) The EXE way in using our stationery is to follow the directions below:
o
Create a Stationery folder at "C:\ProgramFiles\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery", to download and open your .exe files into. Right click on the new 'Stationery' folder and select "Create Shortcut" Then Copy the shortcut and Paste it into:
o o
C:\Users\(Users_folder_here\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Stationery.
While in the Users folder, if AppData isn't visible, go to Tools in the menu bar. Select Folder Options... and Click the View tab, then put a dot in the Show Hidden files and folders space.
Now when you go to select Stationery from Windows Mail, you can see the shortcut to the Stationery folder. For some reason though, left clicking on the shortcut won't allow entering the installed Stationery folder. But right clicking on it and selecting OPEN does! So rename the shortcut 'Right_Click, & OPEN', or something that works for you . (A beautiful idiosyncrasy is, that once accessed, it always opens in the new Stationery folder. No more Right clicking!) Have a good day!! ~Willie~ OR
