Using Pinnacle Studio Version 8
Each building has been supplied with one copy of Pinnacle Studio – Version 8 and a computer upgrade (if necessary) to make digital video editing available in all locations.
Video Editing in 3 Easy Steps
There are three steps in the digital video editing process. • Capture • Edit • Make Movie
You must burn your movie to a CD – and then remove it from the hard drive of the computer you are working with. Space is an issue in creating movies. ☺

Capturing Video
Capture is the process of importing video from a video source to your PC’s hard drive. Studio can capture video from both digital (DV, Micro DV) and analog video sources. Our cheat sheets cover DV capture only.

Transitions
Transitions are animated effects. These effects (fades, wipes, dissolves, etc…) smooth the transition from one clip to the next. Studio provides a large selection of drag-anddrop clip transitions. These transitions are divided in to groups and are preset to take about 2 seconds to complete. You can make use of transitions by dragging and dropping them between the scenes in the Movie Window.
