					Who do we help?
• • • • • We help foster families and children, Families or individuals in need, Victims of domestic violence, Refugees relocated in NH. We also help foster children aging out of the foster care system set up their first apartment and many more.

What volunteer opportunities are there?
Sorting donations: times and dates during the week as well as on Saturday mourning’s Delivery of requested items on Saturday’s with team’s Shopping for needs with funds from the Ministry Special Events volunteer (attend a quarterly meeting and learn more!)

What do they need?
CLOTHING: new or clean, gently used clothing of all sizes needed – baby, toddler, kids, teens and adult, shoes, coats and boots FURNITURE: couches, beds (twin especially), toddler beds, chairs, tables (kitchen and other), lamps. HOUSEHOLD ITEMS: small kitchen appliances, microwave ovens, electronic equipments, TV’s and vacuum cleaners in good working order. Pots & pans, dishes, glasses and silverware, bake ware, new toiletries, new paper products, school supplies, holiday decorations, bicycles, toys with all the pieces in good working order BABY EQUIPMENT: cribs, strollers, car seats, toys, etc. There have been special requests that we circulate through e-mail to members interested

What is the Makeover Ministry?
• The Makeover ministry believes that we are all called to: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Matthew 22 A ministry of caring, giving, and loving people assisting with the needs of families and people in need/crisis that live in our communities Our first e-mail/request for donations went out in April 2006 and we are encouraged by the continued support and prayer of the now over 100 active volunteers that served in 2008 We serve an average of 4-6 families a week, plus quarterly events, Back to School Event (August) Autumn Adoption party (November) Christmas Angel Tree (December) The May Foster Care Celebration Event (MAY)

DONATIONS (FAQ’S)
How does the Makeover Ministry know who to serve?

Makeover Ministry collects donations both new and used • Items collected are stored in various volunteer homes and provided to requestors as needed Donations are eligible for tax receipts (available upon request) Makeover ministry is 100% volunteer, including storage and vehicles We do not resell items. Twice a year we have a yard sale with items not requested and use the money raised to offset fuel and ministry costs. Items we Do Not currently accept: Perishable food, large appliances (stoves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc) sleep sofa or recliner sofa’s, and items needing repair or professional cleaning. Anything alcohol related (shot glasses, adult entertainment etc.) We can pick up larger items if needed. Drop off is Saturday’s from 9:00 am to noon (see schedule for update) Or Call (603) 553-3430 for special arrangements

Social workers, helping agencies, caretakers, advocates or neighbors reach out to the makeover ministry to ask for assistance for families, women and children. If we have the request, we share it, if we don’t have the request we e-mail to our group and try and locate needed items There are no special criteria or requirement the family has to meet to participate. These people greatly appreciate these items as they try to make a fresh start for themselves Makeover Ministry members are NOT required to attend or be affiliated with Orchard Christian Fellowship
