San Antonio Baby Cafe
The San Antonio Baby Café is a community based drop- in breastfeeding center for pregnant

women and breastfeeding mothers. Breastfeeding peer counselors, as well as an International
Board Certified Lactation Consultant, are available on site to answer questions and assist with
breastfeeding concerns. The Baby Café is conveniently located at 4020 Naco Perrin Boulevard,
San Antonio, TX 78217-2579 and is open Tuesday mornings. No appointment is needed.

San Antonio Texas serves a diverse population of over 1.3 million people with 46% of the
population of childbearing age. Approximately 78% of Texas born infants receives some breast
milk during infancy. Exclusive breastfeeding rates fall well below the Healthy People 2010

The San Antonio Baby Café is partnering with University Health System, the University of
Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, the San Antonio Breastfeeding Coalition, San
Antonio Metropolitan Health District, Ameda, Inc., and Texas Department of State Health
Services-Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity Prevention Program.
