Meanwhile, the New York Times contrasts Bush's communications style with that of British Prime Minister Tony Blair: "Blair was today the talkative, forceful partner of the Atlantic alliance's two closest allies at a time of anxiety about the course of the war... Bush, in contrast, spoke unusually softly today, and appeared impatient with questions about the length of the war. Asked three times if the war would go on for months... Mr. Bush seemed to treat the question like a missile."
