Background
2009 is particularly significant year in the global efforts to curb climate change. With several negotiating sessions scheduled throughout the year, the culmination point is the Copenhagen Climate Conference in December where governmental representatives are expected to agree on a post-Kyoto agreement for the period after 2012.This agreement must be bold enough to make a difference and developing and developed countries alike must agree on binding commitments. The European Union has taken far reaching actions (the “20-20-20 deal”) and has promised to go further if other nations agree to an ambitious post-Kyoto agreement. The EC is via its Delegations and together with Member States putting emphasis on public diplomacy and outreach efforts to raise awareness of the reality of climate change and solutions available in different parts of the world. In Thailand the key event,“What on Earth!” will be held in Bangkok on 1-11 October 2009. The EC Delegation has taken an organising role and works in close cooperation with Member States in setting the objectives and actions for the event.
Objectives
“What on Earth!” will be a useful platform to showcase the EU’s efforts in dealing with climate change at a time when there will be increased attention on the issue, in Thailand and elsewhere. Other than explaining and highlighting the EU’s actions in the field the event aims to sensitize the target audiences (general public, young people between 15 and 35 and business community) to 1) the reality of climate change, 2) ways in which individuals can help combat the phenomenon, 3) the role of the private sector in “climate proofing economies” and 4) the urgency of reaching an ambitious post-Kyoto deal at the Copenhagen summit.

Tattoo Colour (Pop/Rock)
Tattoo Colour, this is where the music and your bright lifestyle merge. But that’s why they are one of the most demanding band at a moment. Their slightly british pop, earfriendly tunes are really easy going and will make friends with you the instant you hear them.

In its fourth year, Dudesweet has begun to import respected bands and deejays to Thailand, namely Ladytron, Hot Chip, Chicks on Speed, Rattatagg, and Shitdisco, The Rakes. And there are more artists in the pipelines as we have strengthened our regional connections with other premier club nights and promoters--Rockit (Hong Kong), Zouk (Singapore and Malaysia), and Vanity (Japan) Besides organising allout parties, Dudesweet has been entrusted by cultural organisations such as The British Council, Alliance Francaise and the French Emabssy to curate bands and organise events such as the annual Fete de la Musique, Hiver d’Amour. Furthermore, we have been selected to organise closing parties for Soi Music, a Japanese-Thai Music Festival (2008) in Tokyo.
