@Pontifex, Pope Benedict XVI's Twitter account, attracted over a million and a
half followers on its first day of existence. The Pope, after his first tweet at the end
of the usual Wednesday general audience, responded during the course of the day
to three questions posed by members of the public from three different continents.
The first was: "How can we celebrate the Year of Faith better in our daily lives?"
The Holy Father's answer was "By speaking with Jesus in prayer, listening to what
he tells you in the Gospel and looking for him in those in need". (From VIS)

All the year round so many of you give money to the SVP for which we are so
grateful. You may like to know that quite a lot of that money is used in the special
seasonal project such as this one. A “Vinnie Pack” is a small plastic bag
containing gloves, a warm sheet, toothpaste and brush, a hat and a pen.
These packs are given out to those around us who are homeless. This Tuesday
evening at 7pm, we ask any grown-up who is free to come to church and meet
with Patrick Kelleher and the SVP group. We will go out and give these packs to
those around us in Chelsea who are in need.
