Preparing Ourselves For Worship Each Lord’s Day we come into the Lord’s presence at his invitation in order that he might renew his covenant with us. Since the business of worship is worship, we invite you to quiet your children, cease conversation, and prepare yourself to worship the Lord during the Prelude. The announcements may be found here, printed in your bulletin. Greetings To Our Visitors We welcome all our visitors this Lord’s Day to Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church. We are delighted the Lord has brought you to worship with us and look forward to meeting you. Psalm Sing & The Gospel of John Our Lord’s Day evening meetings begin with snacks and Psalm singing. Our brother Randy Sadler then leads us in a study of the Gospel of John. When: 5:30-7:30 PM, 2 nd & 4 th Sundays—Next meeting: Tonight! Where: Home of Charles & Tisha Clapp in West Hills What to Bring: Your Bible, your voice, your kids & a snack. Eschatology Tutorial Our pastor is reading through Gary DeMar’s Last Days Madness (American Vision, 4th Edition, 1999) with several of our men followed by dinner with the pastor’s family. We meet on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM. Additional participants are welcome. Fellowship Meal & Baby Shower Next Week We invite you to join us after worship this next Lord’s Day, March 6th, as we break bread together. Please speak to Sue Taylor at 977-6238 regarding what to bring for the meal. Following the meal we will have a baby shower for Kandice Vick. She is registered at Target. Why the Robe? Why the Collar? As you may have noticed, our pastor wears a robe while leading worship—and if you happen to see him during the upcoming weeks—a collar as well. What’s up? Crypto-Romanism? In short, there are sound, biblical reasons for a minister to a wear a minister’s uniform. We encourage you to pick up a copy of Rev. Jeff Meyers’ essay in the Narthex for a full explanation. You may find Rev. Meyers’ other helpful essays at www.prpc-stl.org Cry Room Available We encourage families to worship together on the Lord’s Day. As members of the covenant people, small children and newborns are most welcome in our services. For this reason we do not maintain a staffed nursery, but a cry room is available for parents to calm their little ones needing a short break, after which they may bring them back into the sanctuary.
