Getting Started with the Drive Application
Access the Drive Application
After installation, the OpenDrive Drive application will be accessible by clicking the shortcut on your desktop, in My Computer, or
the icon on the taskbar next to your clock.

Create, Share, and Manage Folders
Create Folders and Manage Access Permission
You can create folders and subfolders in the Drive application as you are used to with Microsoft Windows. In folder properties you
can set up access permission for the users you are sharing folders with. Furthermore, folders can be shared with anyone through
a folder link.

Share Folders with Other OpenDrive Users
Share Folders

The sharing option in folder properties enables you to share folders with other OpenDrive users.

Store Files and Folders
Upload Files by Drag and Drop

You can create folders and subfolders in the Drive application and copy or move files/folders by drag and drop.

Folder “Secure Files” – File Encryption
For premium users OpenDrive creates folder “Secure Files”, and files placed into this folder are encrypted by user’s custom key
which resigns only on user’s computer or portable device. Files are encrypted with strong AES-256 encryption on-the-fly, meaning
files are decrypted as you access them and modify them and then encrypted when saved or uploaded.

          Creating Encryption Key
          First time you access folder Secure Files you will be requested
          to create new password. Password will be used as encryption

Backup PC
Backup All of Your important Files and Folders

OpenDrive can automatically set up a Backup of all of a Microsoft Windows User’s folders and files.

Automatic Backup and Syncing
Backup or Sync Automatically
Synchronization with OpenDrive will upload your computer files and folders and keep them updated whenever you make any
changes on your computer, or it can sync changes back to your computer if you make changes on OpenDrive. The backup option
will create copies of your files on OpenDrive and keep files instantly updated with every change on your computer.

Backup and Syncing Settings
OpenDrive supports incremental syncing and backup. In OpenDrive settings you can set up how often OpenDrive compares
changes between your computer and OpenDrive files and starts synchronization or backup.

Cancel Automatic Backup or Syncing
Cancel Backup or Syncing

Automatic backup or synchronization can be cancelled in file/folder properties or through the OpenDrive Synchronization

                                                           Cancel Task in File/Folder Properties
                                                           Uncheck “Permanently sync/backup file or folders” and click Apply or OK. The
                                                           syncing task will be removed from the OpenDrive Synchronization Manager.

                                                                       The Synchronization Manager displays all running syncing tasks for
                                                                       your OpenDrive account and helps you to cancel selected tasks.

Create, Open and Edit Files, Play Music and Video
Work with Files Directly from OpenDrive
You can create new files directly on OpenDrive, open them, edit and save changes without using your hard drive.
All files on OpenDrive can be opened through your software on your computer like you are used to. You can open documents and
edit/change them, play music or video files, and preview images and other files.

Syncing Across Multiple Users or Computers
Create Virtual Private Network and Sync Files Across Computers with Copies on OpenDrive

OpenDrive creates a Virtual Private Network between multiple computers and users. Account owners or account users can create
multiple private networks by syncing different folders and subfolders.

Account Users
Create Access to your Account for Multiple Users

Sharing files and folders within a group is very easy with OpenDrive. Just create account users, set permissions for each user, then
start to share and collaborate.

                                                                                                  Account User Log In
                                                                                                  An account user can log in to the OpenDrive
                                                                                                  account with the email address and password
                                                                                                  assigned by the account owner.
  Create Account Users
  The OpenDrive website (in Users tab) allows you to add
  multiple users to your account and assign them with
  separate usernames and passwords, including options to
  limit space, bandwidth, or folders that users are permitted
  to access. You can also receive email notifications when
  users upload, edit, or delete files on your account.
  The created account user will receive an invitation by email,
  including username and password, and instructions on how to log
  in or download Drive application.

                                                                                 Permitted Folders
                                                                    An account user can see and browse
                                                                       only files in permitted folders. If
                                                                    permission is set to Full, the account
                                                                       user is also able to modify files in
                                                                                       permitted folders.
                                                                    When enabling folders, the account user
                                                                       is also enabled to see all subfolders.
