                              CUB SCOUT LEADER SPECIFIC TRAINING
Hosted by Santa Lucia District- March 23, 2013 Kinship Center, 124 River Road, Salinas

Training shows new leaders how to do their jobs and allows for an interchange of ideas with more experienced leaders.
Every Cub Scout deserves qualified, trained leaders who will provide the best program possible, the way it is intended.
Trained leaders ensure that the goals of Cub Scouting are met. The leadership-training program of the Boy Scouts of
America provides this information and helps leaders become confident in carrying out their responsibilities.

What is Cub Scouting? / How We Have Fun! This section of Cub Scout Leader Specific training is for all adults
involved in the Pack. Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things. Activities are used to
achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness.
Tiger Cub Den Leaders – Learn how to involve other parents in planning meetings and trips for rambunctious boys
that are ready to Search, Discover, and Share!
Cub Scout Den Leaders (Wolf and Bear) – Your den is packed with energy that your Scouts bring every week. How
do you make your weekly meetings and field trips for this age group fun?
Webelos Den Leaders – Learn about Activity Badges, ranks, and preparing for Boy Scouts. This session ensures
you’re on the right track for your den to earn Webelos Rank, Arrow of Light Rank, and graduate your boys into the
 Boy Scout troop.
Cubmasters and Pack Committee Members – Okay, you’re a Pack leader, now what? This training demonstrates to
pack leaders how to fulfill their roles, and allows interchange of ideas with more experienced leaders.
Reminders: To complete basic training and receive your “trained” strip, take online courses: Fast Start,
