It combines physical exercise, deep breathing and meditation. This is a powerful arsenal of tools for coping effectively with stress at work and at home. As a result of a regular yoga practice, students report an increased ability to maintain a harmonious work-life balance, and an overall greater sense of stability. Employees who attend Laura’s classes will enjoy better physical health, clearer thinking, higher energy and reduced anxiety. In addition, rapport is built among employees who attend class together. Yoga is a great team-building activity, as most classes include a partner or group work component. Students may work with a partner, a small group or the entire class to assist each other in performing challenging postures, many of which may be out of reach without teamwork. Laura’s classes provide employees an energizing boost to start their day, a relaxing midday break, or a rejuvenating finish to a full workday. Every year she enriches her skills with workshops and other continuing education programs. In 2009 she completed a 100-hour “immersion” training with Amy Ippoliti, one of the senior-most instructors of Anusara yoga. Credentials Laura has over 3 ½ years of professional teaching experience in Indianapolis-area yoga studios, health clubs, churches, schools and community education programs. She has been practicing yoga for 7 years. Laura’s first teacher training was completed at Dancing Feet Yoga in Michigan City, IN. This certification qualified her to register at the 200-hour level with the Yoga Alliance. She is currently working towards certification in Anusara Yoga, a “lifeaffirming, heart-centered” style of yoga whose physical practice is alignmentbased. It is one of the most rigorous systems certifying teachers today. “I find Laura's classes to be an excellent combination of performing the yoga exercises while additionally explaining the purpose of the movement as well as the philosophy behind the movement.
