5th Silent Auction – May 2009

The Silent Auction gives you the chance to bid on a number of specially selected items. If your bid stands up until bids close at 4:30 p.m. on Wed. May 29th, 2009, you will purchase the item at the price you bid. Visit the tables to see the Silent Auction items and enter your bid into the bid forms available. Please be aware that as with any auction, by placing a bid you are entering into a binding contract obligating you to purchase the item should you have the winning bid. The Maryland Emergency Management Association does not have Credit Card Capabilities. Therefore, all Silent Auction bids must be paid by cash or by check. All checks are to be made payable to The Maryland Emergency Management Association. However, there are ATM’s available in the hotel as well as throughout Ocean City

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Cindy L. Towers, 410-479-2622 MARYLAND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION TO HOLD BENEFIT AUCTION. The Maryland Emergency Management Association will hold their fifth annual silent auction to be held May 29, 2009 in Ocean City, Maryland during the Annual Maryland Emergency Management Conference. All proceeds from the auction are donated the Maryland Emergency Management Association Scholarship Fund to promote the Emergency Management profession in the State of Maryland. The Association is dedicated to giving back to our profession and to have some fun at the same time. Currently, the Association gives up to five scholarships per year to Maryland High School Seniors. The Association is currently soliciting donations for auction items. If you would like to contribute to the auction, please contact Cindy Towers, Auction Chair @ 410-479-2622.

For the fifth year in a row, the Maryland Emergency Management Association will be holding a silent auction on May 29, 2009 to benefit the scholarship fund and we need your help to make it a success. The Maryland Emergency Management Association is a not-for-profit organization and possesses a non-profit 501c3 status. The Association promotes and supports Emergency Management in the State of Maryland. The members are compiled from Local Emergency Management, Professional, Technical and Corporate Memberships. Here is how you can help: Please consider contributing an item to the silent auction. I have enclosed a donation form for you to complete. The silent auction will take place during the Annual Maryland Emergency Management Conference May 28 – 29, 2009 to be held in Ocean City, Maryland.
