 DESCRIPTION              The study of the Tarot is the study of life. The benefits of learning the Tarot include
                          increased awareness and intuition. One of the most rewarding experiences of using the
                          Tarot is watching the Tarot work and doing a reading for your family or friends is a great
                          gift. In this course, you’ll explore the history of the Tarot and, through practical fun
                          exercises learn the meanings of the cards.

 DURATION                 24 hours

 LEARNING                 By the conclusion of the course, students should be able to:

                          Begin class with a deck of 'Rider Waite' or 'Universal Waite' tarot cards..

WEEK-BY-WEEK OUTLINE

                          Class introduction. The history of the Tarot and how it originated. How to care for your
 WEEK 1
                          Tarot cards. Each class member selects a card for the week. (This practice will continue
                          each week).

                          Looking at the 78 Tarot cards. Focussing on the Major Arcana cards this week.
 WEEK 2

                          This week will feature the suit of Cups. The significance of the symbols, colours and
 WEEK 3
                          numbers contained within the tarot.

                          Introducing the suit of Wands. A technique to learn the traditional meanings easily and
 WEEK 4                   effortlessly.

                          The suit of swords. A Tarot state of mind - how to prepare for 'reading'.
 WEEK 5

                          Looking at the suit of pentacles. Introducing an exercise to develop the intuition.
 WEEK 6

                          Putting it all together - what do most people expect from a 'reading'? Simple 'spreads',
 WEEK 7
                          looking at the 3-card layout. Each class member will give a 'reading'.

                          Popular Tarot layouts. The 12 card astrology layout (a knowledge of astrology is not
 WEEK 8                   necessary) will be practised in class.

                          Advanced 'reading' techniques. Subjects you will be asked about e.g. romance, love,
 WEEK 9                   money and success. The relationship layout to be practised amongst students.

                          Checking in with the class. Questions and revision. Introducing the Tarot Game, to be
 WEEK 10
                          played in class.

                          A discussion about going in to business as a professional Tarot reader. Finishing with
 WEEK 11                  the Tarot Game.

                          Revision. Looking at the Gypsy spread, an ancient lifetime layout, and practising it in
 WEEK 12
                          class.
