The Landscape Contractors Association organizes a smaller part of the real number of contractors within in the field of propertyservice and landscape maintenance. Many smaller contractors are only organized in a employers Association of the actual industry. The Facility Management companies increases rapidly both within the private and housing cooperative businesses. The Association of City Gardeners/Parkauthority managers are most often found on the purchasing-ordering side in the city administrations while technical departments takes care of the executing side , if the maintenance is not given out on contracts externally. More and more municipalities are using contractors for installation works and also for maintenance, a substantial increase has been seen since 2000.
