We have a new website for Circus: omahashrinecircus.
com. This should be a great help for information about
                                                   Circus.
This year we had to increase the amount of sales
needed to earn a jacket to $800.00 of ad or ticket sales.
As of Dec 10, 2009 we had approximately 200 ads
ordered and 52 bikes donated, At this time things are
looking very good for a great Circus. We also have the
TV and Potentate Ball Tickets in a lottery that seemed
to help increase sales last year.
Thanks to all for your hard work in sales
and donations, keep up the good work!

   Shrine Bowl
A new year is upon us
and the Shrine Bowl Unit is
looking forward to an exciting 2010. There
are a lot of activities to plan for. Greg Cade
has agreed to be our Commander for another
year, Ken Patrick is our Treasurer, and Rod
 Bates is our Secretary. Congratulations
 gentlemen.
We have two more Big Red Dinners to look
forward to and the Shrine Circus is coming in
February. We will need a lot of help for both.
I would like to thank all the Ladies that
helped out this past year and invite them to
participate again in 2010. None of our events
 would happen without your help.

The following is a list of Nobles, and in several cases their Ladies, who have gracefully given their time to escort our kids
to their Hospital appointments. Each of these trips is two days in duration and our drivers are exposed to all the hazards of
driving, particularly in the winter months. We are all proud of their effort!

The time has finally arrived! NEB RASKA
Nobles,

After eight years of trying to get a Legislative Bill passed in the Nebraska Legislature to obtain
Shrine license plates, the time has finally arrived. The Legislature passed Bill 110 during the
Legislative Session in 2009 and becomes effective January 1, 2010.

Since that time, an additional meeting was held with the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles
to find out what procedure we have to take for all Nebraska Nobles to obtain the Shrine plate and
get approval of the design on the Shrine plate, which was approved by the representatives of the
Shrine license committee members from each Temple.

The office has an application for you to complete and return with your payment of $70 for each
vehicle. If you desire a plate for a motorcycle, second vehicle,
or trailer, we need one application for each. Once we reach 500
applications and payments, they will be taken to the Nebraska
Department of Motor Vehicles to get their process in motion.

All specialty license plates cannot have a personalized message,
alpha-numeric only. This includes NE Cornhusker Spirit plates,
Purple Heart plates, and others.

You will be notified by your County Treasurer’s office to get your
Shrine license plate. Delivery of plates will begin in January 2011
and will be delivered to the County Treasurer of the county in which
your vehicle is registered.

If you want to order Shrine license plates, please submit your
application and payment to your Shrine Center by February 15,
2010. All checks must be made payable to your Shrine Center.

If you have any questions regarding any of the above, please contact
your Shrine Center.

Yours in the Faith,

Cary L. Manson
