					Board of Directors & Executive Director:

Robert Nazarenus - Board Chairman
Mr. Nazarenus brings 45 years of practical business management experience in various
technology industries, which includes, five years with Arthur Andersen & Co., four years as a
CEO, thirty-five years as a CFO and most recently six years as the CFO of The American Musical
Theatre of San Jose, a leading non-profit arts organization within the bay area, and is currently
the CFO of AHH. He is a CPA and has his BS degree in Accounting & Finance from California
State University – San Jose.

Prestell Askia - Vice-Chairman
Mrs. Askia, CPP, Founder and CEO of The Askia Group (TAG), has twenty years of experience in
senior management and leadership positions. Mrs. Askia’s professional honors and community
experience includes Women in Leadership Award and Woman Of The Year - 63rd Assembly
District to name two. She is also a Certified
Executive Business Coach. She earned a BS degree in Public Administration from the University
of California - Los Angeles.

Charlotte Souch – Secretary
Mrs. Souch is the owner and operator of Betty’s Organics LLC for the past 15 years. Since 2009,
Mrs. Souch has also served as the Senior Management Partner for Houses 4 Homes. Ms. Souch
“gives back” to her local community by supporting companies who in turn provide homes for
children. She has also attended and studied at California State University - San Francisco.

James Nichols - Finance Committee Chairman
Mr. Nichols received his degree in Accounting/Finance from the University of Colorado and
concurrently earned a military commission as an Officer in the U.S. Army. He has spent the last
years as the Vice President of Internal Audit with the 9th largest Credit Union in the nation, Star
One Credit Union. Additionally, Mr. Nichols served on the American Musical Theatre of San Jose
as Chairman of the Finance Committee, Trustee on the Board of the San Jose Repertory
Theatre.

Vince Huster - Audit Committee Chairman
Mr. Huster has spent his career in the automotive industry following his graduation from Illinois
State University with his past twenty-six years with Nissan North America, including his last
seven years as the Financial Services Manager serving the San Francisco metro market.

Dr. Lou Pollack – Director
Dr. Pollack, MD spent 30 years practicing neonatology (intensive newborn care) in the Seattle
metropolitan area. He was one of the original (1982-1992) national leaders to develop
comprehensive, community-based newborn services integrated with existing university-based
facilities. He was founding Chairman (1990-1999) of the Committee on Practice in the Prenatal
Section of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Pollack has participated in and directed a
number of medical volunteer projects in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, and Ethiopia.
Brant Watson – Director
Mr. Watson has been the Senior Vice President and part owner at Heffernan Insurance Brokers,
with over 250 employees in three states, for more than 17 years, which also has an emphasizes
in serving the non-profit segment. Mr. Watson also sits on three other non-profit Boards,
including Satellite Housing, Fremont Oaks Gardens, and California Assisted Living Association,
all within the local area. In addition, Mr. Watson has a BS in Finance Management from
California State University – Sacramento.

Dyan Clancy – Director
Mrs. Clancy is a National Account Manager for Tyco Integrated Solutions the world leader in
electronic security and fire protection and has worked with a large and diverse client base for the
last 24 years. Mrs. Clancy earned a BS Degree in Business Administration from California State
University - Chico. She, along with the other founding members turned their local Sorority in to a
National Chapter of Phi Beta Phi. Phi Beta Phi is a National Fraternity for women that develop
women of intellect and integrity, cultivates leadership potential, and enriches lives through
community service. Ms. Clancy is also an Officer and Treasurer of the Barbara Samper
Foundation. This foundation is the largest single contributor to various programs of the Cabrillo
College Foundation. One of the many programs will provide first-year scholarships for students
attending Cabrillo College as part of the Santa Cruz County College Commitment. This is a historic,
countywide partnership comprised of public education institutions including all K-12 School
Districts, Cabrillo College, CSU Monterey Bay, San Jose State University and the University of
California Santa Cruz, formed with the goal of increasing the college readiness and success of
every student in Santa Cruz County.

Gary Malinski – Director
Mr. Malinski is the CIO & CSO, Vice President for Fireside Bank and Fireside Auto Finance, a
Kemper subsidiary, for the past 18 years. He has been responsible for the overall security of
both information & data and the protection of corporate physical assets for most of his 40 year
career with the likes of Fireside Bank, Unitrin/Teledyne and Sears Roebuck, and Company. Mr.
Malinski started his career after receiving his degree in Business from the University of Illinois.


Sharon D. Van Brunt - Founder/Executive Director
Ms. Van Brunt has been a professional in the retail and finance industry for over the past 30
years. She owned and operated a Dealer Management Software company which was later
acquired by a major Dealer Management Services publicly owned company. Sharon has over
the past 5 years held the position of - Associate Director of Education for an automotive and
lending college. She was licensed as Associate Director and Instructor from the Bureau for
Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. Ms. Van Brunt also held a Regional
Management position for a publicly held corporation and National Customer Support manager.
Some of her professional certifications include; The Associate of Finance and Insurance
Professional (AFIP) Certified - 2007 and Ethic Certified - 2007, Center for International Retail
Automotive Standards and Ethic Certified - 2009. Member of National Association of
Professional Women, NAACP and serves as Rotarian in Northern, Ca. Sharon attended LaSalle
University, Chicago, ILL. where she studied Business Management and held a state license in
California for over 20 years as a life and disability agent.
