If you decide to order off the net, shipping isn't very expensive as long as you go with a bed-in-a-bag. As with every buying decision, though, the biggest problem is going to be deciding which set you want to buy. Is your nursery using the same coloring scheme as the rest of your house? If so, baby crib bedding that matches your own bed would probably be the best choice. Not only will this do a good job of complimenting your home's current coloring scheme, but it will help in that you won't have to come up with a new one. One the other hand , though, decorated the nursery in a completely different way than the rest of your house, you'll want to look for bedding that matches the nursery, of course.
Finding Baby Boy Bedding Sets
Perhaps you waited to look at baby bed sets until you knew the sex of your baby. Good idea! There are lots of different types of baby boy bedding sets out there. Pretty much anything blue goes just fine, obviously, but there's also space ships, race cars, dinosaurs, and air planes, among lots of other options. There's also nothing wrong with regular solid colors such as black or red, though there are some who say that red is a bad color for a bedroom.
Baby Girl Bedding Sets
Pink and white are great colors if you're looking for baby girl bedding sets. Anything perceived as classically feminine or gentle will work also. You may be tempted to buy bedding based on the latest pop icon or fad, but don't! Once the baby is born, and surely by the time she's done with that crib, that icon will likely be a thing of the past. That may not seem like an issue at the moment, but babies have a way of lowering your bank account balance, and buying new bedding may not be so easy a second time around.
Cheap Baby Bedding Sets
Maybe you're not waiting to see what sex the baby is going to be. Or, even if you are, it may be a better idea to try for something unisex. Most cheap baby bedding sets are pretty generic and don't really point to one gender or another. If you're financial situation seems to change with the seasons, and you're suspecting that another baby may be occupying that crib at some point or another later on down the road, then you'll want to go both cheap and generic in design. Babies aren't terribly destructive on bedding, so durability isn't much of a worry.
Do It Yourself Baby Bedding Sets
Are you an accomplished tailor, or at least have the burning urge to try? I know I wouldn't attempt it, but there are lots of videos and how-tos out there describing exactly how to make your own baby bedding. Obviously the price would be pretty low, if you could manage it.
