    RECOVERY OF JEWELLERY WORTH 15 LAKH & CASH 4.77 LAKH MADE SO FAR.

               With the arrest of three robbers case. FIR No 145/12 dated. 25.06.12, U/S 392/394/397/34
IPC PS Ashok Vihar, Delhi has been solved. Arrest was made from Ghonda (U.P.) Recovery of robbed
jewellery and cash (approximately fifteen lakh) have been made so far.
 ACCUSED ARRESTED

2.   RakeshS/o Ram Charan R/o H.No. A-97, Baba Faridpuri, West Patel Nagar, Delhi.

3.   ArjunS/o Lusai Ram Karan R/o Vill. Kakrah PS. ParashPur, Distt. Gonda U.P.

 INCIDENT:-
        On 25.06.12, Smt. Manju Jain w/o Sh.Anuj Jain R/o H.No. I-64, Ashok Vihar, Phase -1st, Delhi
reported that at about 03.20 PM, when she was alone in her house, two boys, entered in her house, tied her
up using bed sheet and had mercilessly beaten her with the help of domestic help Rahul, who was
employed three days ago. They robbed cash and Jewellery (approximately Rs. 35 Lakh) at the point of
knife & then fled away. A case vide FIR No 145/12 dt. 25.06.12, U/S 392/394/397/34 IPCPS Ashok Vihar,
Delhi was registered and investigation was taken up.
INVESTIGATION:-
        During the course of initial investigation, it came to notice that the antecedents/police verification of
the domestic help Rahul was not got done by the present employer. The complainant Smt. Manju Jain
disclosed that the domestic help Rahul was recommended by one Mukesh, who is a resident of Patel Nagar,
Delhi. Mukesh was located and interrogated who disclosed that he had provided domestic help Rahul
through one Arjun, who is residing in Rohini, Delhi. Further Arjun was also interrogated in this case. He
told that he had provided domestic help, Rahul to Mukesh. Rahul is a resident of Distt. Gonda U.P. Arjun
and Ram Kumar @ Monu both were also gone at the H. No. I-64, Ashok Vihar, Phase-1st, Delhi for
dropping Rahul to the complainant’ home. During the course of investigation, a video recording, recorded
in CC TV installed at H. No. I-55, Ashok Vihar, was shown to complainant and Arjun who identified three
persons as Ram Kumar @ Monu and Raghav in the video recording. The addresses of these persons were
obtained from Arjun and raids were conducted at their native places from where Ram Kumar @ Monu and
Rakesh were apprehended and robbed cash and jewellery were recovered from their possessions. Later on
Arjun who had provided domestic help Rahul and hatched the conspiracy was also arrested in this case.
INTERROGATION:-
        During course of sustained interrogation, accused Ram Kumar @ Monu disclosed that his associate
Vijay @ Rahul and Raghav are distant relatives and resident of same Distt. Gonda U.P. Three of them met
Arjun and asked about the domestic work in any house. Arjun offered that he can arrange work for them in
a house but they have to rob the cash and jewellery from that house. Accordingly Arjun arranged the work
for Rahul in H.No. I-64 Ashok Vihar, Ph.1st, Delhi. On 25.06.12, as per plan Ram Kumar @ Monu and
Raghav came at I-64, AshokVihar, Delhi. Rahul @ Vijay, domestic help of the complainant had already
opened the door of the house. They entered in the house and overpowered the complainant and robbed cash
and jewellery. After committing the offence they reached at Daya Basti Railway Station and informed
Rakesh through mobile but Arjun was not there later they reached Gaziabad Railway Station and boarded
the train for their native place Distt. Gonda U.P. On 27.06.12, Rakesh also reached at Village Triloki Purva
Sherapar PS.Katra Bazar, Distt. Gonda U.P where Rakesh met Vijay @ Rahul, Raghav, RamKumar @
Monu and gave assurance to them if in future police arrests them he will provide necessary financial
assistance for advocates and other supports.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:-
1. Ram Kumar@ Monu (Age 22 Year) was born in village Kastoori , PS. Karnnel Ganj , Distt. Gonda
U.P, in 1990. He has studied up to 10th standard from his native place. He belongs to a poor family. At the
age of the 18 yrs, he came in Delhi & worked in a tailor shop along with Rakesh in the area of Patel Nagar,
Delhi. He came in the contact of other boys, who also belong to the same region of U.P.
2. Rakesh (Age 32 Years) was born at A-97, Baba Fareedpuri, West Patel Nagar, Delhi in 1980. He
belongs to a lower middle class family. He did his schooling up to 8thstandard from Delhi; thereafter he
started tailoring in his home. Ram Kumar @Monu is his distant relative and Rahul is his real brother in
Law. He was in regular touch with Ram Kumar @ Monu.
3. Arjun (Age 24 yrs) was born at Village KakrahPS. ParashPur, Distt. Gonda U.P. He belongs to a poor
family. He did his schooling up to 3rd standard from his village, at the age of the18 yrs; he came in Delhi
and worked as domestic help at several places. During this period he met with several persons including
Vijay @ Rahul, Raghav and Ram Kumar @ Monu etc and started to provide domestic help.

                                      Notorious Cheat arrested
        The staff of Police Station Ranhola, West District has arrested one notorious cheat
namely Rajpal Singh, involved in two cases of cheating approx. rupees two crores.

NAME AND PROFILE OF ACCUSED ARRESTED

Rajpal Singh, S/o Late Sh. Khajan Singh, R/o H. No. WZ- 1093, A- 2, Basai Darapur, near Shiv
Mandir, Ramesh Nagar, New Delhi and H. No. D- 14, Jai Vihar, Najafgarh, New Delhi.
Presently r/o B- 91, Kaushalya Kunj, near Bhud Baral, Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), aged about 54
years, property dealer.
CASES WORKED OUT

1.    Case FIR No. 50/12, U/S 420/468/471 IPC, PS Ranhola, New Delhi, involving Rs.79
      lacs.
2.    Case FIR No. 83/12, U/S 448/380/ 506/420/ 468/471/ 34 IPC, PS Ranhola, New Delhi,
       involving Rs.42 lacs.
INFORMATION/OPERATION.

          Sh. Rajpal Singh had his office in the name of Choudhary property situated at Jai Vihar,
Baprola, New Delhi and was dealing in properties. Randhir Singh and his brother, landlords of
village Baprola had given him their land for further plotting in the year 2006. Till late 2010, he
sold the land given to him by landlord to various persons but did not pay them the entire amount
that was to be paid and used the money for his own purposes. In order to fulfill demands of
money from landlord, he started cheating people approaching him for plots and sold the vacant
plots to them, which were already sold, by preparing forged documents. Using this modus
operandi, he duped several people to the tune of Crores of rupees. In the month of November, one
morning, he disappeared from the area with his family after disposing of all his properties (i.e. D-
14, Jai Vihar, New Delhi and his property office).       Complaints of cheating started pouring
in at PS Ranhola.

          After enquiry, two cases of cheating was registered against Rajpal Singh. To nab the
culprit, on the directions of the senior officers, a team consisting of Inspector Sanwar Mal, HC
Subhash, No. 436/W, Const. Pramod, No. 3083/W, Const. Jitender No. 1683/w and Const. Rajbir
No. 1811/W, under close supervision of Inspector A. K. Singh, SHO/Ranhola and over all
supervision of Sh. Raj Kumar ACP/Nangloi was constituted. The team physically verified and
raided the addresses of friends and relatives of Sh. Rajpal Singh in Delhi, Meerut, Muzaffar
Nagar and Ghaziabad, but all in vain. Thereafter, the team worked on an old mobile number of
Rajpal Singh that was not in use. After mammoth efforts and going through the data of mobile
phone, the team zeroed in towns Bhud Baral, Partapur, Achhonda in the area of district Meerut
(UP) at his latest hideout. In the afternoon of 01/07/12, police arrested him from outside of village
Bhud Baral. After coming to know about his arrest, 06 more complaints involving cheating of
Rs.57 lacs were received in P.S. Ranhola. Further investigation is in progress.

             Staff involved in good work is being rewarded suitably.

 ACTIVE MEMBER OF AUTO LIFTER GANG ARRESTED AND 4 VEHICLES
                        RECOVERED
                  North District has arrested one auto lifter namely Naeem s/o Sh.
Rafiq Ahmed r/o Khanna Nagar, Loni, Gaziabad (UP), aged 44 years, solved 05 cases of
MV Theft and recovered 04 vehicles ( one car and three m/cycles ) and parts of several
vehicles.
INCIDENT AND TEAM
                 On 29.06.12, secret information was received that an active auto lifter will
visit in a stolen Wagon-R car, near Metro Station, Delhi University. Accordingly, a team
consisting of HC Rajiv Kumar, HC Sukhbir Singh, HC Mohd. Ismail, HC Ombir, Ct
Haminder, Ct Amit Kumar, Ct Praven and Ct. Samar Pal under the leadership of Sh.
Rohitash Kumar, Insp. Special Staff and close supervision of Sh. R. K. Singh, ACP/
Operations/ North District, was constituted to develop the information and apprehend the
auto lifter.
          Accordingly, a trap was laid at University, Metro Station. At about 05.50 pm,
one Wagon-R car, bearing No. UP-14-AQ 1317 was noticed coming towards Mall Road.
On pointing out by the informer, the said car was stopped. The driver could not produce
any document regarding ownership of vehicle. On checking from the records, the said
Maruti car having fake No. UP-14-AQ-1317, original No. DL-9CF-2954 was found
stolen vide case FIR No. 388/11 U/S 379 IPC P.S. Mukherji Nagar, Delhi. Subsequently
a case was registered vide case FIR No. 58/12 u/s 482/411 IPC P.S Maurice Nagar, Delhi
and he was arrested.
INTERROGATION
          During sustained interrogation, accused Naeem disclosed that he is permanent
resident of Mohalla Hakim Pur, Bareilly, U.P. and studied up to 8th class. He came to
Delhi in 1997 and started M/Cycle repair shop. With the intention of earning easy and
quick money, he started to steal vehicles with his brother Faeem, Musa and one Taliv @
Dadahe. He further disclosed that they had stolen the Wagon R Car in November 2011
from the area of PS Mukherji Nagar, Delhi and were using the same for racky. He has
indulged himself in many cases of auto lifting and was arrested earlier also. They used to
sell the vehicles and its parts in UP and Delhi.
                 He has also disclosed that he along with other members of gang have
stolen more than 2 dozens vehicles from Delhi and NCR. On his instance, 04 vehicles
have been recovered.
PROFILE
       Naeem s/o Sh. Rafiq Ahmed r/o Khanna Nagar, Loni, Gaziabad (UP), aged 44
years. He belongs to a poor family and has studied up to 8th class. He was earlier
working as a motor mechanic and had started committing auto theft with his associates to
make quick money.

  TWO AUTOLIFTERS ARRESTED AND ONE STOLEN MOTOR
CYCLE RECOVERED
             North District has arrested two auto lifters namely Farookh aged 22
years s/o Sirazuddin r/o Gali No.8, Jagatpur Village, Delhi and Ombir aged 35
years s/o Vedprakash r/o Gali No.14, Jagatpur Extn. Delhi and recovered one
Hero Honda Splendor M/Cycle, found stolen from PS South Campus Delhi, from
their possession.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

              On 28.06.2012, HC Tarachand No. 2861/N and Ct Krishan Kumar
No. 971/N were conducting vehicle checking at Hanuman Chawk on Jagatpur
Pusta. They noticed two persons, on a Hero Honda Splendor Motor Cycle,
bearing registration number DL7S AM 1667. On being asked to stop, they did not
and tried to escape. They were subsequently detained with motor cycle and were
asked to produce documents in respect of the M/Cycle. But, they could not
produce the same. On checking the Engine & Chasis Number from Auto Match
Service, original registration number of the M/Cycle was found to be MP20 KJ
7300 and the M/Cycle was found to be stolen from PS South Campus, Delhi Vide
FIR No. 20/10 u/s 379 IPC. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 139/12 u/s
482/411/34 IPC was registered at PS Timarpur and investigation was taken up.
Both accused were arrested.

INTERROGATION

              During sustained interrogation, the accused persons disclosed that
one of their associate namely Shakeel r/o Jagatpur, Delhi had stolen the above
mentioned M/Cycle. He handed over the M/Cycle to them and they were trying to
sell the same. Efforts are on to arrest Shakeel, who is a native of Bareilley (UP)
and residing in Village Jagatpur on rent.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS

1. Farookh s/o Sirajjuddin r/o Gali No.8, Jagatpur Village, Delhi, Age - 22 yrs.
Illiterate. Unmarried. Farming on Yamuna Bed behind Chang Basti, Majnu Ka
Tilla.
2. Ombir s/o Vedprakash r/o Gali No.14, Jagatpur Extn. Delhi. Age - 35 yrs.
Education - 8th Class. Married. Running a milk dairy at the given address.
            Both of them belong to lower strata of the society and are eager to
earn quick money.

RECOVERY

             M/Cycle, Hero Honda Splendor, No. MP20 KJ 7300, run by the
accused persons with fake number plate bearing No. DL7S AM 1667, found
stolen from PS South Campus Delhi vide FIR No. 20/10 u/s 379 IPC.

            The order issued under section 33 Delhi Police Act, 1978
vide DCP West District office order No. 19-59/S0 (W) dated 02.01.2001,
which was further extended vide order No. 0925-1044/Ext.Cell/SWD dated
30.04.2012 for a period of two months w.e.f. 02.05.2012 in respect of
disputed plot No. 8 & 9 A-Block Manak Shah Garden, Palam Road,
Kakrola Village, New Delhi, now known as plot No. 306/307, B-2 Block,
Tara Nagar, Kalcrola New Delhi, is hereby further extended for a period of
two (02) months w.e.f. 02.07.2012

                                        ORDER
Whereas, there is mushrooming of BPOs (Business Process Outsourcing Centres)
prominently known as Call Centres, Corporate and Media Houses in Delhi and other
parts of the NCR offering employment opportunity for the youths.
2.       And whereas, the employees including young women from across the country
have been staying in various parts of Delhi while their work place may be in the NCR
region and their employers are providing cab services for the purpose of picking up and
dropping them from their place of stay to office and back. As these organizations are
functioning round-the-clock, the cabs are ferrying employees even at late night hours.
Such employers are reported to have hired cabs operators and their drivers for ensuring
safe and secure transportation of the employees resulting in grave danger to human life,
safety and security of the employees, especially of women employees.
3.        And whereas, it has come to notice that certain criminal and anti-social elements
look for soft targets, particularly during the odd hours and the women employees who
travel during late night hours are vulnerable to crime and criminal acts by such elements,
if they are not dropped securely and safely at their places of stay.
4.        And whereas it is rendered imperative to put some regulatory checks on
organizations having such service of picking and dropping their employees and the
transporters, security agencies, drivers and security guards involved in the same so that
anti-social and criminal elements may not cause danger to human life & safety and their
property and it is felt that immediate action is necessary in this regard.
5.       Now, therefore, in exercise of the power conferred upon me by the virtue of
Sec. 144 Cr. P.C 1973 (No. 2 of 1974) read with Govt. of India, Ministry of Home
Affairs, New Delhi`s Notification No. U-11036/(i) UTL dated 09.09.2010, I Parkash
Chander Mann, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sub-Division Vikas Puri do hereby
make this written order that all such organization like BPOs, Corporate and Media
Houses having the system of picking up and dropping their employees and the concerned
transporters, security agencies, security agencies, drivers and security guards in the
jurisdiction of Sub-Division, Vikas Puri, West District, Delhi shall:-
       (a)          Maintain a data base of all employees, security personnel, cab drivers
       and contractual workers working with them for access by the police as and when
       required.
       (b)         Hire the security personnel and other contractual personnel as far as

       (c)         Ensure verification of antecedents of all their employees including
       contractual employees.
       (d)         Ensure that women employees are not made to travel alone with the
       cab driver and a duly verified security guard or a male colleague (regular
       employee of the company) is invariably deployed in each cab carrying women
       staff during night hours i.e. 8 PM to 7 AM.
       (e)         Choose the route in such manner that as far possible a woman
       employee is not the first one to be picked up or the last to be dropped.
       (f)          Ensure that during the night hours cab involved in transportation of
       women employees picks up and drops such employees right at their housed and
       remains halted at the point where a woman employee has been dropped till she
       confirms about her arrival/reaching at her residence/place of stay through a
       telephone call.
       (g)         Ensure that, whenever the house of a woman employee is so located
       that the approach road is not motorable, the duly verified security guard or the
       male colleague, during night hours, accompanies the employee on foot upto her
       house and takes a confirmation about her safe arrival.
       (h)         Exercise effective check and control on the vehicle`s movement in
       order to check any unwarranted activities of the cab drivers, such as picking up
       strangers, straying away from the designated route etc.
       (i)          Get GPS system installed in the cabs used in the transportation of
       employees, especially of women employees within two months time.


6.     These orders shall come into force with effect from 29/06/12 shall be effective for
a period of 60 days up to 27/08/12 (both days inclusive) unless withdrawn earlier.

 7.         Any person/employer/transporter etc. contravening this order shall be liable
to be punished in accordance with the provision of Sec. 188 of the IPC, and

     Sleuths of P.S Baba Hari Das Nagar have arrested a desperate robber cum arm
     supplier namely Dalbir Singh s/o Kavi Raj Singh r/o A-133/34, Fateh Nagar,
     Tilak Nagar, New Delhi . Two Pistols, Four Magazines and Twenty live
     cartridges have been recovered. Honda City Car used in carrying illegal arms and
     ammunitions has also been seized.
TIP OFF AND OPERATION

               Keeping in view of rising trend of use of illegal arms and ammunitions in
the incidents of snatching and robberies in the district, extensive drive of apprehension of
criminals has been initiated in the district through vehicle checking. Emphasis is being
given to foot/group patrolling as well as by motorcycles round the clock. Sincere efforts
are also being made for criminal intelligence through eyes and ears scheme. During this
exercise, various suspects are being interrogated and listed criminals of same modus
operandi are being grilled. As a result, notorious criminals i.e. burglars, auto lifters,
snatchers and robbers have been apprehended by the district police.
                A dedicated team of HC Ramdhari, H.Ct. Rakesh, Ct. Prem Prakash and
Ct. Arvind was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Rajbir Singh Lamba SHO/BHD
Nagar for this specific task. On 30/6/12 the above team received an information from
credible sources that a desperate robber namely Dalbir Singh who is carrying illegal arms
will come in a Car from Dichau. Above police team swung into action and intensified
vehicle checking. At about 5.45 PM the team noticed a Honda city car, coming from
Dichau side. On sensing the police presence, the car was stopped at a distance, and the
car driver tried to take the car reverse. The team swooped upon him and
overpowered. His identity revealed as Dalbir Singh s/o Sh. Kavi Raj Singh - a desperate
robber of Police Station Rajouri Garden. On cursory search, two country made pistols, 4
magazines and 20 live cartridges were recovered from the car. Upon this a case under
relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Baba Haridas Nagar and investigation
has been taken up in right earnest.
INTERROGATION AND MODUS OPERANDI

               Accused was subjected to sustained interrogation, who revealed that he
fetched these arms and ammunition from Bahadurgarh, Haryana in order to supply the
same to the local goons in Delhi. It has also been transpired that he has five previous
involvements. Initially he used to commit petty crime but of late resorted to heinous
crime like robbery and carrying illegal arms & ammunition. First time, he was lodged in
jail in case FIR No. 69/12 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act.After being released from jail he did
not mend his way.

        INTER -STATE GANG OF AUTO LIFTERS BUSTED.

        TWO AUTO LIFTERS ARRESTED

        SEVEN STOLEN VEHICLES RECOVERED

               With the arrest of two auto lifters viz. Aasin (aged-19 yrs) S/o Mohd. Safi
r/o B-28, Vikas Vihar, Uttam Nagar New Delhi and Sunil @ Gabbar (aged-28 yrs) S/o
Sarwan Kumar R/o B-1/2, Sultan Puri, Delhi, Police Station Inder Puri, South-West
District Police has worked out six cases of MV Theft, out of which three cases are of
South West Distt., one is of North Distt., one is of North-West Distt and one is of
Gautam Budh Nagar, UP. Three stolen motor cycles and four stolen cars have also been
recovered.

   INFORMATION AND OPERATION

               In order to check the incidences of MV theft in the area, a dedicated team
of P.S Inder Puri comprising SI Jitender Dagar, HC Vijay Pal, Ct Uttam, Ct Kavinder
and Ct Hawa Singh was constituted under the supervision of Inspr. PS Rana, SHO Inder
Puri. On 25/06/2012, an information from a credible source was received by the above
team that a desperate autolifter will come to Rajender Nagar via Rattan Puri Chowk to
meet his friend. The team swung into action and laid a trap at Rattan Puri Chowk. The
said team started checking all the vehicles and at about 7.30 PM a WagonR car having
registration No. DL 3 CAD 6112, came from Naraina side which was signaled to stop but
the car driver tried to speed away instead of slowing down. Finding the behaviour
suspicious, the team swiftly chased and overpowered him. Upon being
questioned about his suspicious behaviour, he tried to dodge the police and again tried to
flee from the spot. The dedicated team nailed him down and upon interrogation his
identity was revealed as Aasin s/o Mohd. Safi . On further enquiry, he could not produce
the documents of the said vehicle and tried to mislead the police by giving false versions.
On verification, the car was found stolen vide case FIR No.103/12 u/s 379 IPC PS Civil
Line, North Distt., Delhi

INTERROGATION AND MODUS OPERANDI

               On sustained interrogation, the accused revealed that he and his associate
namely Sunil@Gabbar had committed several MV Thefts in Delhi and UP. They used to
commit M V theft from residential places. A massive manhunt was launched to nab
the absconding Sunil @Gabbar and on 29/6/12 after a tip off, he was apprehended from
Mangolpuri.
               In pursuance of their confession, police succeeded in recovering three
stolen motor cycles and four stolen cars on their instance.

    FOUR BOOTLEGGERS/ SUPPLIERS OF ILLICIT LIQOUR APPREHENDED
     AND A HUGE QUANTITY OF ILLICIT LIQOUR RECOVERED WITH THE
                         CARRIER VEHICLE

               North District has arrested four bootleggers/ suppliers of illicit liquor
namely Babloo, age 25 yrs s/o Lallu Singh r/o Village- Nasirpur, PS Bachraun,
Distt. Jyotiba Phule Nagar (UP), Devender Singh age 22 yrs s/o Param Singh r/o
Shahabazpur Dor, PS Gajraula, Distt. Jyotiba Phule Nagar (UP), Lakhan Singh
age 30 yrs s/o Pan Singh r/o Village- Taraulli, PS Adampur, Distt. Jyotiba Phule
Nagar (UP) and Manoj Kumar age 20 yrs s/o Sumer Singh r/o Village- Hasanpur,
PS Hasanpur, Distt. Jyotiba Phule Nagar recovered 48 bottles of Royal Stag
whisky & 25 cartons (each containing 48 quarters) of “Besto Whisky Rum’,
loaded in a Mahendra Bolero Jeep, bearing registration no. UP23H-8242.
INCIDENT AND TEAM
                The patrolling on outer ring road was intensified especially in night
hours with direction to check Bolero & Scorpio jeeps. On 30.06.2012, Ct Mukesh
Kumar No.762 /N and Ct Pramod Kumar No. 2777 /N were performing their
duties at Gopalpur Traffic-light point. At about 5.45 AM, one Bolero Jeep was
coming from Karnal Bypass side. The driver of Bolero did not stop despite the
directions given by the police officials and tried to flee from there towards ISBT.
Activities of the persons, sitting in the said vehicle were suspicious. So, the alert
staff chased the said vehicle by Government M/Cycle and succeeded in stopping
the same about 100 mtrs before the Wazirabad Traffic light point. On checking,
total 48 bottles of Royal Stag whisky & 25 cartons (each containing 48 quarters)
of “Besto Whisky Rum” of Haryana State was found loaded in the Bolero.
Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 143/12 was registered at PS Timarpur u/s 33
Delhi Excise Act in this regard and investigation was taken up. All accused were
arrested.
INTERROGATION
              During sustained interrogation, accused persons disclosed that
they have purchased the Liquor from Rohatak (Haryana) and were taking the
same to Jyotiba Phule Nagar (UP), where the same liquor would be used to
influence voters in the election of Block Chairman. The vehicle belongs to one
Pushpraj Sharma s/o Lalta Prasad Sharma r/o H.No. 45, Mohalla Mahadev,
Dhanaura, Distt. Jyotiba Phule Nagar (UP). Investigation is being conducted to
ascertain role of the owner of Bolero in the matter.

          South East Distt. has busted a gang of robbers by arresting one of the
member of the gang namely Ajay @ Rahul @ Santosh S/o Beer Singh @
Shivlal R/o 33/272 Trilokpuri Delhi who used to lure passengers coming
out of ISBT Sarai Kale Khan, Nizamuddin Railway Station, ISBT Anand
Vihar and Kashmiri Gate by quoting/demanding extremely low fare Rs.
10/20/- for long distances. These persons also used to board the car as
passengers. In the way, finding opportunity at lonely places they
committed robbery of valuables of the innocent passengers.

              In wake of increasing incidents of robbery in the area of
Sunlight Colony and nearby Police Stations extensive drive for
apprehension of criminals has been initiated through checking.
Emphasis is being given to foot/group patrolling as well as by M/cycles
patrolling round the clock. Sincere efforts are also being made for
gathering criminal intelligence through public co-operation. During this
exercise, various suspects are being interrogated.

          On the intervening night of 01-02/07/12, an information from
reliable sources was received by a patrolling team comprising of SI
Hanumant, SI Sanjeev, PSI Raju Prasad, H.Ct. Kalu Ram No. 2046/SE,
Ct. Vipin No. 830/SE of P.S. Sunlight Colony regarding movement of
robbers gang in the area. Information further developed and turned out
that the members of the above gang would come in a wagon-R car to
ISBT Sarai kale Khan New Delhi.

              After this a team led by Inspr. Sunil Kumar, SHO/Sunlight
Colony comprising of SI Hanumant I/C P.P Sarai Kale Khan, SI Sanjeev,
PSI Raju Prasad, HC KaluRam No. 2046/SE was constituted .
Nakabandi of the area was done and the checking of cars was started
immediately in the area. In the night at about 3.30 AM, one wagon-R car
bearing registration No. DL-7CC-5567 was spotted on Ring Road
opposite gate No. 1 IP Park in which one person was sitting. The driver
was asked for the papers of the vehicle. Instead of showing they papers
the driver tried to flee away towards Ashram, which was chased by the
alert police party and apprehended. The driver has been identified as
Ajay @ Rahul @ Santosh S/o Beer Singh @ Shivlal R/o 33/272 Trilokpuri
Delhi. On his personal search one knife buttondar has been recovered.

         On sustained interrogations he disclosed that he alongwith his
associate Nitin has committed a robbery in the same night with a
innocent passenger by giving him a lift in the above wagon-R car for
Anand Vihar ISBT.

        On enquiry it is found that the incident has been reported in
P.S. Ghazipur Delhi. Therefore, he was arrested in the case FIR
No.250/12 U/s 25 Arms Act P.S. Sunlight Colony has been registered.

Recovery: - 1. One knife Buttondar.

            2. Wagon-R car No. DL-7CC-5567.

            3. Laptop HP Compaq case property of case FIR No. 235/12

              U/s 356/379/34 IPC P.S. Gazipur Delhi.
Modus operandi: - Accused used to work as driver with various travel
