									NEIGHBORHOOD CAFÉ & BOOKSTORE MANAGER
PURPOSE: To share the Gospel ministry by managing the resources of our Café and Bookstore

REPORTS TO: Jim Bellig, Business Administrator

SERVES ALONGSIDE: Pastoral Staff, Ministry Directors, Support Staff and Volunteers

PROVIDES OVERSIGHT TO: Café & Bookstore staff and volunteers

ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES:
  Ø Help create and manage the best coffee shop/Christian bookstore combo in the East Bay J
  Ø Help create an “environment of hospitality” for our Café & Bookstore that blesses our
     church and community -- ripe for relationship, conducive to connection, and full of great
     Gospel resources
  Ø Effectively manage the budgetary resources of the Café & Bookstore – inventory, ordering
     supplies, scheduling staff, building/nurturing relationships with vendors, operating in the
     black, etc.
  Ø Help recruit, train and shepherd Café & Bookstore employees and volunteers
  Ø Work in concert with Business Administrator to provide monthly budget/financial updates
     and quarterly reports

  Ø Excellent People/Communication Skills

TIME REQUIREMENT: 30-40 hours per week
