Welcome to Denver, nicknamed the Mile High City! Denver is a vibrant city with 300 days of annual sunshine and the
breathtaking Rocky Mountains as its backdrop. A complimentary transfer is provided to the tour hotel. Your Tour Director is at
the hotel this evening to welcome you and answer your questions. Join us at 6 p.m. for a Welcome Drink at the hotel.

DENVER – VAIL – ARCHES NATIONAL PARK – MOAB
Today's spectacular journey travels west and up into the heart of the Rockies. Climbing over Independence Pass Scenic
Drive, cross the Continental Divide and travel through areas that epitomize the grandeur of classic mountain scenery. Arrive
at picturesque and fashionable Vail, one of America’s most popular mountain resorts. There is time to wander Vail Village’s
quaint pedestrian alleys lined with chalets, boutiques and galleries. From here, travel along the Colorado River, following its
path through more spectacular Rockies scenery. Continue westward and enter the state of Utah, where the setting changes to
stunning red rock landscape. Visit Arches National Park, home to more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches. Enjoy enchanting
vistas and ample photo opportunities of red rock canyons, balancing rocks and unusual rock formations. Later, arrive in the
nearby town of Moab where you have the option to join a barbecue dinner followed by a thrilling jetboat ride on one of the
most scenic stretches of the great Colorado River. (Full Breakfast)

MOAB – MESA VERDE NATIONAL PARK – KAYENTA
Journey deep into the breathtaking Native American lands. Visit the ruins of Mesa Verde National Park, a UNESCO World
Heritage Site protecting 4000 known archaeological sites including 600 cliff dwellings, built between the 6th and 12th century.
Tour some of the dwellings that were built on top of the plateau and view the imposing cliff dwellings built right into the canyon
walls, some comprising more than 100 rooms. There is time to visit the museum depicting the story of the Ancestral Pueblo
people who once lived and thrived on this 8,000-foot plateau and get an insight into their daily lives. Continue on to Kayenta

KAYENTA – MONUMENT VALLEY – GRAND CANYON
Drive to the awe-inspiring Monument Valley, a setting made famous when director John Ford began filming movies here. Set
out with a local guide in special vehicles to explore the major highlights of this unusual and inspiring landscape. Visit some
famous movie sites used as backdrops for western films and marvel at the dramatic buttes and mesas of this incredible terrain.
Travel through the scenic Painted Desert and stop at the Historic Cameron Trading Post, a showplace of fine Native American
and Southwestern Art. Arrive at Grand Canyon National Park, the world’s most spectacular gorge, listed by UNESCO as a
World Heritage Site. Enter the park from the East Entrance and stop along the scenic Desert View Drive for spectacular views.
Become rock experts with a local specialist who relays the story of the formation of the immense 1.7 billion year-old canyon
carved by the Colorado River. Examine samples from the multi-coloured sedimentary layers formed one on top of the other
as the seas encroached again and again. At sunset, join your Tour Director at the canyon's rim to watch the effects of the
sunset as the sun paints the canyon walls in yellows, golds and reds. This evening enjoy a Highlight Dinner inside this wonder

Nevada, drive along parts of famous Route 66, also known as the “Mother Road.” Stop en route at two iconic posts along
Route 66 – Seligman and Kingman, two delightful towns which retain the flavour of the old road. Later, cross the Colorado
River, skirt the riverside city of Laughlin and head for Las Vegas for a two-night stay in this mecca of entertainment, gambling

mountain men centuries ago, cross the famous Oregon Trail and follow the historic Snake River to the authentic Old West town
of Jackson. Passing through the town’s famous landmark arch of tangled elk antlers, walk back into history as you explore
the Town Square with its western boardwalks, craft boutiques and ice cream shops – all surrounded by the majestic Rockies.

Center, learn amazing facts about Yellowstone and kids have fun earning their Junior Ranger Badge. This evening, join your
interpretive guide for an other-worldly stroll around the boardwalks of the West Thumb Geyser Basin visiting such colourful

western artifacts. This afternoon, enjoy stunning scenery as you cross the Big Horn Mountains and Bighorn National Forest.

At Thunderhead Mountain, gaze in awe at the Crazy Horse Memorial, the world’s largest sculpture. A work in progress as
artisans carve the figure of the famous Lakota warrior out of an entire mountain, it will measure 563 feet high and 641 feet wide
when completed! Reach the quaint “City of Gold” Keystone, once a gold mining boomtown. This evening watch the moving
ceremonial lighting at Mount Rushmore before retiring to your hotel. (Full Breakfast)

KEYSTONE & BLACK HILLS EXCURSION
The first stop this morning is Bear Country USA, a wildlife park featuring the world’s largest private collection of American
Black Bear. Enjoy a leisurely drive through this spectacular and unique wildlife park and then walk through the Wildlife Center,
where young and smaller animals frolic in their outdoor exhibits. Next, visit Mount Rushmore National Park. You may have
seen pictures of Mount Rushmore, but they pale in comparison to seeing this majestic site in person. It took 400 artisans 14
years to carve the 60-foot sculptures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt
out of the mountain. Then it’s… All Aboard! Ride onboard the 1880 Train, an authentic steam engine train, from Hill City back to
Keystone. Hear the bellow of the engine and the whine of the whistle as you wind your way through some of the most beautiful
scenery in the Black Hills. At the Holy Terror Mini Golf, sign up for a miniature golf tournament! Named after the last active
gold mine in Keystone, the course will have you screaming “mulligan” as you putt around gold-flecked boulders, up steep hills,
down through the mine slew and around the water wheel and bubbling stream. Later, there is time to relax or take a plunge in
the hotel swimming pool. This evening, join your fellow adventurers at a Farewell Dinner. Toast to your Wild West adventures

KEYSTONE – FORT LARAMIE – DEPART DENVER
Follow the trail to old Fort Laramie, the best-known milepost on the Oregon Trail, where you can still see 150-year-old wagon
wheel ruts cut deep into the soil by thousands of pioneers heading West. At the fort’s living history exhibits, gain a deeper
understanding of the harsh world of the pioneer family as they fought distance, unforgiving terrain and weather to reach
Oregon… and the native tribes who gave their lives trying to prevent it. Your Wild West adventure comes to an end at the Mile
High city of Denver where stops are made at Denver International Airport or, if you’re extending your stay, at the tour hotel in

There is time this morning to admire the canyon's amazing colours in the sunrise light. Or for an entirely different perspective,
why not take an optional flightseeing tour for a spectacular bird's eye view of the Grand Canyon? Journey east into the vast
Navajo Indian Reservation and stop at a historic Indian trading post with a chance to purchase native handicrafts. Then it's
on through the Painted Desert to Glen Canyon Dam, spanning the Colorado River and backing up its waters to form the
magnificent Lake Powell. With over 1,900 miles of towering sandstone shoreline, the lake's deep blue waters fill thousands

Travel through historic St. George, home of Utah's first Mormon temple, and down the spectacular Virgin River Gorge. Entering

winery Clos Pegase and sample some of its estate wines. Lunch is on your own in bubbly downtown Calistoga, noted for its
hot springs and geyser. Then, join a guided private tour of Castello di Amorosa, a 107-room, Tuscan-style castle and winery,
complete with a moat, chapel and torture chamber. Learn how the castle vintners combine traditional wine making methods
