					Guidelines for Grand Piano Lease

Objective and Overview: Budding, young pianists are invited to apply for a three year lease, rent free, of a beautiful, full-size, Kawai grand piano, generously made available by an Adelaide family with keen music interests. The intention is for the piano to be used by an advanced level student(s) who needs the use of such an instrument, but does not have the means to acquire one. The grand piano is approximately 20 years old and is in mint condition. It is black, 187cm in length, and is a Kawai GS-30. It has been well maintained, having been used by young family members learning music. Currently it is not being regularly used and it is the family’s wishes for it to be used in a meaningful way. Applications are invited from a student(s), or parents on their behalf, who currently study piano in the metropolitan area of Adelaide with a piano teacher who is a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of South Australia. The closing date for applications is 5:00pm, Friday, 13th March 2009. Late applications will not be accepted. Successful applicants will clearly articulate the benefit of the grand piano being made available for their use. The decision of the selection panel is final. The panel reserves the right to invite applicants and to not award the lease. The successful applicant will have met all eligibility guidelines and will agree and sign to the Contract of Agreement while in possession of the instrument. This contract will include the recipient meeting all costs associated with tuning, up-keep, and insurance while the instrument is in the recipient’s possession.
