Now that the holidays are over, NEA members may have accrued some larger-than-usual bills as a result of the season’s festivities. NEA Member Benefits offers the NEA Personal Loan, the NEA Home Financing Program and the NEA National Board Certification Loan to help NEA members better manage their finances. With the NEA Personal Loan, NEA members may obtain funds ($3,000 to $25,000) at low member-only rates. Repayment terms are flexible; members can take up to 84 months to repay, with no pre-payment penalties. The NEA Home Financing Program has a variety of home equity loans and lines of credit that can help NEA members who own a home consolidate debt and reduce monthly payments. Rates are competitive, and in most cases, the interest is tax-deductible. Through the NEA Mortgage QuickLine, members can call a toll-free number and get a loan decision within 24 hours.
