Gift Ideas for Teacher Appreciation Week May 4- 8

Well, the District 181 Foundation has the perfect gift idea for you. And it is truly a gift that keeps on giving. Just in time for Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4 - 8, 2009. By participating in the Staff Appreciation Campaign you will pay tribute to an individual you feel has made a difference for your child. Your donation and special note written by you or your child will honor the staff in three ways; * The Foundation will acknowledge the person being honored with a certificate and a letter that will include your special message, * the a copy of the letter will also be sent to that person’s principal and to superintendent and
* an advertisement announcing all the honorees will be placed in the local paper. And the gift that keeps on giving will provide additional funding for innovative and creative projects that have a significant impact on the educational experience of all of the students in District 181 schools. Since 2005 more than $30,000 has been donated honoring District 181 staff. In 2008, five schools; CHMS, Elm, HMS, Madison and Walker Staff, plus 86 District employees were honored through this program and the response was universally positive.
