Sept. 30, 2011
Fall is upon us. Fall is a beautiful season and it brings many opportunities for
children to learn about their environment. We have spent this week observing the
changes the season of fall brings. We compared summer to fall. The children
shared some of their favorite summertime activities and we talked about some of
the things we can do in fall. The children are excited about the changes they have
seen. As we observe this season, we will be learning many weather-related
vocabulary words and we will be comparing the size, color and shapes of leaves.
There are many fun fall activities planned. We are asking the children to observe
the trees in their neighborhood while they are out and about with their family. We
have also asked them to collect some leaves and bring them to school.
The season of fall brings cooler weather. Please be sure your child is dressed to
play outdoors each day.
Please return your child’s permission slip for our field trip to The Grove by Oct. 6th.
Mrs. Grodzin needs to purchase our tickets for this special day. Please let me
know if you are able to volunteer for the trip.
