CEREMONIES ON-SITE AT THE WENTWORTH BY THE SEA

Outside ceremonies are an option in the Wentworth gardens and gazebo but are restricted in size to a maximum of 100 guests. Backup space inside the hotel is required in case of inclement weather. Due to availability of back-up space in the hotel, we are restricted to 3:30pm on Saturdays for any outdoor ceremonies. All ceremonies on property must be coordinated at the time of contract. Wedding aisle runners are not allowed for on-site ceremonies.

Answers to our most commonly asked wedding questions…

1. What is the per person cost of the wedding package?

The per person cost of the wedding package is driven by your entrée selection and package choice. Please refer to the brochure for the different packages.



2. May I earn Marriott Rewards points?

Yes, you can accumulate a maximum 50,000 points. Your points will be processed after the event has occurred and all payments have been made. At any point during the wedding planning process you can give your Marriott Rewards Number to your Wedding Coordinator. contact Marriott Rewards Corporate Office at 801-468-4000 for more information or to join. 3. When are menu choices due?

Thirty days prior to your wedding reception your menu selections must be determined. Entrée counts are required seven business days prior to your event date. You may choose two entrée selections to be served to your guests at your reception. Vegetarian or special dietary needs meals are available as a third entrée choice upon request per person, plus the entrée price. It must be determined on your RSVP cards which meal each guest would like to enjoy. You may offer a third entrée option at the cost of $5.00



4. What is the pricing for vendor and children meals?

Vendor meals are $35 per person for a chef’s choice meal. Children’s meals are $25 for children under 12 years of age. This meal includes a fresh fruit cup followed by chicken fingers, French fries.



5. What types of drinks are included in the Wedding Packages?

The Little Harbor package includes three hours of open bar with Premium brands, imported, domestic and non-alcoholic beers, Wentworth selection of fine wines, assorted soft drinks, waters and juices. You may also choose to upgrade to the Great Island package which includes an open bar for 4.5 hours. Charges will be based upon consumption for any additional upgrades. For all events at which alcoholic beverages will be served with more than 150 guests, a police detail is required. The police detail fee is $40 per hour for your 5-hour event. Please note alcoholic beverage service stops one half hour prior to the end time of your event.

6. Is wine service available with dinner?

You may offer wine service with dinner to guests. Charges will be based on the number of bottles opened and served to your guests. Currently our house wine is $29 per bottle. Two and a half bottles per table for every ten guests is an appropriate estimate if you choose to provide wine service with dinner. Our Great Island Package includes house wine service with dinner. If you prefer, you may close the bar during dinner while wine service is offered and reopen at the end of dinner. Please contact your Wedding Coordinator for a list of available wines. It is advised to order your wine selection within the month of your event, as our wine list changes frequently and is based on availability.



7. Can we extend the open bar?

Yes, additional charges will be based on number of drinks consumed. Current drink prices range from $5 to $7.50 per drink plus 20% service charge and 8% state tax for the products included in the wedding package. As a responsible liquor practice, we close the bar one half hour before the end of the event. We will not exceed 5 hours of bar service.



8. Is there a bar or room for guests to congregate in before or after the reception?

Yes, Roosevelt Lounge off of the main lobby is open daily year round. Latitudes Restaurant and Lounge is open seasonally (Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather dependant).



9. What is the shape and size of the banquet tables?

We have 66” rounds that seat 8 to 10 people per table. Centerpieces included in the wedding package are based on 10 guests per table. Table configurations for your head table could include rectangle, round, sweetheart…we are creative in inventing the style that best suits your needs! Your Wedding Coordinator will create a floor plan that is to scale when you have provided your final guest count.



10. What is the shape and size of the dance floor?

Our square wooden dance floors range in size from 15 to 24 feet. The floors vary in size by 3 feet. Your Wedding Coordinator will determine the appropriate size based on your final guaranteed number of attendees, table count and ballroom.

Do you supply a gift table & a place card table?

Yes, we will provide a gift table and place card table. It is the bride’s responsibility to provide their own place cards and card box for gift cards. We can provide table numbers for your guest tables, toasting goblets for the bride and groom, and the cake knife and server, or you may provide your own. Please let your wedding coordinator know.

Do we have to set up the party favors, place cards, menu cards, etc.?

We will take care of all the details on your day! It is advisable to set up an appointment with your Wedding Coordinator the week of your wedding to give her the supplies and expectations of setup needs along with your inventory list of items dropped off.

What linen colors are available?

We supply white or ivory tablecloths and napkins as a part of the Little Harbor package. Gold Swirl floor-length linen is included in the Great Island package. We can assist in ordering other options through our Preferred Linen Vendors. Options include chair covers and sashes, overlays or floor



length table clothes in a variety of colors and fashions. Your wedding coordinator can assist you in whatever your needs are.

Do you supply chair covers?

Our wedding coordinator would be happy to assist you in ordering chair covers. Unique linen choices are available; please refer to our list of Preferred Vendors. Additional charges may apply depending on the package that you have selected.



15. Do you offer choices of flatware and dinnerware?

If you would like to order different chairs, silverware, plate ware, etc. other than what we carry inhouse it is our recommendation that you contact Marshal Tent Rental at www.marshallrental.com to discuss your different options or to set up appointments to go look at your choices. However, you should let your wedding coordinator know what you have decided upon, and she will do the ordering for you!



16. What floral centerpieces and cake options are included in the wedding package?

The wedding package includes 1 floral centerpiece per table of 10 guests. Please call Ms. Kathie Colella, owner of Jardinière Florist, at 603.427.5560 to hear about options! You may choose to



upgrade your flowers for an additional charge. Please take note to order flowers for your head table if other than a table of 10 guests. Your cake will be made by our preferred baker: Jacques Pastries 603.485.4035. Jacques Pastries invite you to bring pictures of your favorite cake to your appointment. They will give you ideas of what is included in our wedding package and other various options.

17. Do you have house candles for the tables?

We do have house candles. Our Preferred Florist would be happy to offer other options for an additional cost. If you would like to provide your own candles we ask that all candles be unscented and encased in glass.



18. Do you have a list of musical groups & DJs?

Yes, please refer to our Preferred Vendors section of our Wedding Brochure. You are not limited to going with these vendors (aside from the florist and bakery), however we do highly recommend their services! Each vendor can assist you with your music selections/options for entertainment.



19. What are the available hours to have a wedding?

Our weddings are generally 5 hours. A daytime wedding is likely to start between 10 am and 12 pm. An evening wedding may start between 4 pm and 6 pm based on availability. We are limited to serving alcohol for a maximum of 5 consecutive hours. Music cannot be played later than 11pm.



20. Is coat check available?

Yes. This is a complimentary service upon request.



21. Is someone available during the reception if I need anything?

Yes. Either, your onsite wedding coordinator, banquet manager, and banquet captain will be available throughout the event for your every need!



22. Is parking available at The Wentworth?

Valet parking is complimentary for guests not staying at the hotel. Valet parking is available for $5 per day for guests who request valet upon checking in. If you would like to provide shuttle, trolley, or limo services, please speak with your wedding coordinator. We can recommend vendors, which we have previously used or identified in our wedding brochure.



23. When are deposits due?

The initial nonrefundable deposit is due when the contract is signed. Six months prior to event, 25% of your events total estimated bill is due. Three months prior to event an additional, 50% of your events total estimated bill is due. Any remaining balance will be due with your estimated guest and entrée counts approximately two weeks prior to your event. You can expect a call from your Wedding Coordinator to go over upcoming payments due. These charges will be issued to the credit card on file.

24. What are the additional charges?

All food and beverage charges have a 20% service charge. In addition there is an 8% state tax on the entire event balance.



25. Do you provide a hospitality suite for the bridal party to get ready in the day of the wedding?

We do not have a hospitality suite available for the bride to get ready in the day of the wedding. We can guarantee a 4:00 pm check-in the day of the wedding into your king suite that is included in your wedding package! If you plan to get ready at the hotel the day of your wedding, in the past, many couples have chosen to extend their stay to include the previous night. Please contact your Wedding Coordinator if you would like to do this.



26. Does the hotel have a shuttle?

The hotel does not provide shuttle services. If you would like to provide transportation for your guests please contact your wedding coordinator for information on local shuttle companies that have been used by our previous guests.



27. What is the policy on I.D.’s at the bar?

Any guest that looks 35 years or younger will be asked to show their I.D. This is a strict policy with the hotel so it is important to remind all your bridal party members to remember their I.D. We will not serve without a valid I.D.
