To ensure your special day is unique we only hold one Wedding per day
Our dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator will be your contact throughout the planning and organising, available for viewings by appointment for yourselves, photographers and florists. She will be your main point of contact at helping to make the arrangements for your big day. Present on the day she will ensure everything runs according to plan. Accommodation Special accommodation rates are available for guests attending your Wedding and are listed below. Please note the rates are per room, per night and inclusive of accommodation and VAT only. Standard Double or Twin £65.00 Executive Double or Twin £125.00 Upon confirmation of your Wedding we shall reserve twenty-five standard bedrooms on your behalf, any executive bedrooms need to be booked separately. Should you require additional standard bedrooms we will happily reserve ten more, these must be booked for two nights. Civil Ceremonies Having confirmed the date and time with The Coniston Hotel, you should contact the local registrars office as follows; Mrs Carol Lupton The Registration Office Castle Hill Settle North Yorkshire BD24 9EU Telephone: 01729 823624 Hours of opening; Tuesday and Thursday 9.00 am to 1.00 pm Wedding Breakfast Must be served before 5.00 pm The menus and wines within this pack are valid until the end of March 2007, from this point the content will change and the prices will show a slight increase. Children 12 years of age or under will be charged half price for half portions, an alternative children’s menu is also available upon request Wine or Champagne corkage is not available Should you wish to serve a specific dish which is not listed on the attached menus, please feel free to ask the Wedding Co-ordinator who will liase with our Chef to do their utmost to assist you. Please choose one starter, one main course and one pudding as menu on your Wedding Day. We happily cater for vegetarians and guests with dietary requirements by prior arrangement with the Wedding Co-ordinator. All of our main courses are accompanied with seasonal vegetables served separately Payment In order to confirm your booking we request a non-refundable deposit of £850.00 alongside our Terms and Condition. Two weeks prior to your Wedding 90% of the total balance is due and the balance within 30 days.
Reception Rooms: Winston’s This impressive converted 17th century barn has been sympathetically modernised and retains many of its original features including the high peaked ceiling and exposed wooden beams. The barn is the birthplace of The Coniston Hotel as the Bannister family converted it to a farm shop, which sold produce from the Coniston Estate such as homemade chutneys, pate and fresh fish. A tearoom was later added to provide refreshments to what were now regular customers. For an intimate atmosphere Winston’s can be used as a private dining room for your Wedding Breakfast. Should you wish to have your ceremony and dine in Winston’s we require a short period of time to re-set the room. The Main Restaurant The Main Restaurant has many delightful features and can be the perfect setting for a Civil Ceremony as it boasts an almost chapel-like quality with it’s long aisle, wooden beams and wrought iron railings, it is also ideal for larger parties. This bright and airy room is filled with natural sunlight which floods through the many windows. Stylishly decorated this room has a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. We are able to seat up to 130 guests for a Civil Ceremony with special guests and family members taking their seats in the raised area close to the happy couple.

The Hall Want to impress your guests with breath-taking surroundings and a stunning twentyfour acre lake as back drop for your photographs? Then Coniston Hall is the answer. Whatever the season there is always plenty of wildlife to see in their natural habitat sometimes just a few feet away. Spend time relaxing with family and friends on the Terrace which is adjacent to the lake and overlooks the mature gardens. The Hall is a two minute drive from the hotel so whether you decide to stop off for photographs on the way from the Church, use the terrace for the drinks reception or get married in the Dining Room the Hall is perfect. The Bannister Suite Self-contained in the extension is the Bannister Suite, with a secluded private patio with seating area and gas heaters, private bar open until 1.30am and cloakrooms. To ensure the privacy and smooth running your Wedding Breakfast and Evening Function would usually take place in the Bannister Suite, all we ask is that the Wedding Breakfast commences before 5.00 pm as we require a short period of time to set the room for the evening celebrations. Adjoining the Bannister Suite is the Conservatory, available for exclusive use in the evening at a cost of £250.00. We presume you will provide a Wedding Breakfast together with an Evening Buffet which can be served up until 10.00 pm, however should this not be the case and you only require the Wedding Breakfast a room hire fee of £1000.00 is applicable.
