					REGULAR MEETING – AUGUST 12, 2008

Minutes of the regular meeting of the Township Committee held in the municipal building on August 12, 2008. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Frederick J. Grant at 7:00 p.m. Roll call vote: Frank J. Aiello, Jr., present; John F. DeGeorge, present; Brenden D. Garozzo, present; Frederick J. Grant, present; Peter J. Miskofsky, present. Timothy W. Chell, Solicitor, and Kenneth Ressler and Stephanie Cuthbert, Engineers, were also in attendance. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING By motion of Mr. Aiello, seconded by Mr. Garozzo, the minutes of the July 8, 2008 and July 22, 2008 meetings be approved as presented. Roll call vote unanimous. RESOLUTION NO. 149-2008 RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF EAST GREENWICH AUTHORIZING PERFORMANCE BOND REDUCTION TO PHASE 1 AND PHASE 2 OF BRYNWOOD MANOR – UNION ROAD AND WOLFERT STATION ROAD, BLOCK 1202, LOTS 7.02, 7.03 AND 7.04 FOR SITE AND WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS By motion of Mr. Aiello, seconded by Mr. Miskofsky, the above resolution be passed as presented. Roll call vote unanimous. APPROVE PAYMENT TO LUZON, INC. ORDINANCE NO. 14-2008 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE EAST GREENWICH TOWNSHIP BUILDING CODE BY ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS By motion of Mr. Garozzo, seconded by Mr. Aiello, the floor be opened to the public for questions and comment. ORDINANCE NO. 15-2008 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF EAST GREENWICH ADOPTING A NEW LAND DEVELOPMENT CHECKLIST By motion of Mr. Aiello, seconded by Mr. Miskofsky, the floor be opened to the public for questions and comment. ORDINANCE NO. 16-2008 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF EAST GREENWICH ESTABLISHING FEES AND PROCEDURES FOR REIMBURSEMENTS OF MAYOR’S EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH WEDDING AND CIVIL UNION CEREMONIES By motion of Mr. Aiello, seconded by Mr. Garozzo, the above ordinance be advertised for a public hearing at our August 26, 2008 meeting. RESOLUTION NO. 154-2008 RESOLUTION INSERTING SPECIAL ITEM OF REVENUE IN BUDGET – OVER THE LIMIT UNDER ARREST By motion of Mr. Aiello, seconded by Mr. Miskofsky, the above resolution be passed as presented. RESOLUTION NO. 155-2008 RESOLUTION INSERTING SPECIAL ITEM OF REVENUE IN BUDGET – CLEAN COMMUNITIES PROGRAM By motion of Mr. Aiello, seconded by Mr. Garozzo, the above resolution be passed as presented. ORDINANCE NO. 17-2008 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF EAST GREENWICH AMENDING THE TOWING FEES FOR THE TOWING OF VEHICLES IN THE TOWNSHIP OF EAST GREENWICH By motion of Mr. Garozzo, seconded by Mr. Aiello, the above ordinance be passed on first reading and the public hearing be scheduled for the September 9, 2008 meeting. Roll call vote unanimous. HIRE JENNIFER PANDORF AS CLERK/TYPIST FOR 30 HOURS/WEEK AT $12.00/HOUR By motion of Mr. Garozzo, seconded by Mr. Miskofsky, the above be approved. Roll call vote unanimous.

APPROVE PURCHASE OF TWO COLLECTOR RECYCLING UNITS FROM ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS AT $1,795.00 EACH By motion of Mr. Aiello, seconded by Mr. Garozzo, the above be approved. Roll call vote unanimous. APPROVE TWO YEAR RENEWAL WITH HORIZON BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD FOR DENTAL COVERAGE AT 2.5% INCREASE By motion of Mr. Garozzo, seconded by Mr. Miskofsky, the above be approved. Roll call vote unanimous. APPROVE AWARDING LONGEVITY BENEFIT TO TIMOTHY BARTON, PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE, UPON HIS FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY By motion of Mr. Miskofsky, seconded by Mr. Garozzo, the above be approved.
