Internally displaced persons (IDPs) are those who have been forced to leave their homes and possessions and have not crossed an internationally recognized state border. Most IDPs are fleeing armed conflict or generalized violence. There are currently nearly 20 million people worldwide living in often-crowded IDP camps. PDA supports IDPs with basic humanitarian necessities such as food, clean water, shelter, and medicines.
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance enables congregations and mission partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities affected by crises and catastrophic events.
A gift has been sent in your honor to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. May the knowledge of this gift and God’s gift of love fill you with peace during this special season and in the new year to come.
