Salon Moxie Stylist Contract Salon Moxie is a warm, upscale salon where we consider our clients and guests to be our friends. In order to provide a welcoming environment for our clients and a comfortable working environment for our stylists, Salon Moxie has the following code of salon conduct: 1. Salon Moxie employs both booth renters and commission stylists, and considers everyone to be part of our team. We expect you to respect the salon as if it was your own, and every client as if they were yours. All stylists will be treated equally regarding walk-ins. All stylists, receptionists and assistants are to behave with the utmost respect to clients and each other at all times. Arguments, profanity and trash talking will not be tolerated in any manner. 2. All stylists will come to the salon ready for work, with hair and makeup done. All stylists will follow the trendy casual dress code of wearing fashion forward clothing appropriate for the salon environment. No visible underwear, armpits or short skirts. Open toed shoes will require a pedicure. 3. In order to provide a comfortable work environment for everyone and take care of walk-in clients, booth renters must set working hours and abide by them. In the event that you are sick or unable to come to work, it is your responsibility to reschedule your clients - prior to the start of the day. 4. All Salon Moxie stylists will act as members of a team, pitching in whenever and wherever something needs to be done. All stylists are equally responsible for greeting guests, offering beverages, answering the phone, sweeping hair, folding towels and picking up during the day. 5. Stylists will attend all staff meetings, without their children in tow. Meeting times will be posted several weeks ahead to allow everyone time to arrange their schedules. In order to keep meeting times to a minimum, an agenda will be posted prior to the meeting. All team members are welcome to add items to the agenda, but only agenda items will be discussed at each meeting. 6. All stylists will participate in all special events and education the salon in holding, including open houses, evening classes, charity cut-a-thons and in-salon education. 7. Stylists are expected to sell retail to their clients. A discount on booth rental will be offered at the end of each month, based on sales performance as follows:
$3000 or more per month, booth rental will be free. $2000 – 2999 per month, booth rental discount will be $600 $1000 – 1999 per month, booth rental discount will be $300 $500 – 999 per month, booth rental discount will be $100 Less than $500 per month, no discount. 8. The Salon Owner will maintain an open door regarding salon policies and rules. Stylists agree to bring complaints, grievances, compliments and suggestions to the owner first, rather than to the other staff members. All thoughts will be addressed by the Salon Owner privately or publicly depending on the situation. Upon agreement of the Code of Conduct, stylists will be expected to abide by these standards at all times. Breeching this contract will result in verbal warnings, followed by contract termination.
