UT Flex Deadlines for
 • UT System, Office of Employee Benefits (OEB)
   sent reminder e-mail to UT Flex participants with
   account balances on November 1, 2011
 • November issue of A Matter of Health
   newsletter, 11/2/11.
 • The grace period to incur eligible medical
   expenses for 2010-2011 is November 15, 2011
 • Deadline to file both medical and day care claims
  with Payflex is November 30, 2011
  • Items must be postmarked by November 30, 2011

UT Flex Deadlines for
Flu Shots
• Flu shot and nasal flu mist are covered 100%
  when services are received from a participating
  BCBS provider
• As of 11/1/2011, UT Select will cover the full cost
  of the vaccine at participating retail pharmacies,
  but you must present your UT Select/Medco
  prescription card
  • Prescription is not required
  • Vaccine is not subject to the prescription plan
• If you received your flu shot between 9/1/11 and
  10/31/2011 at a local pharmacy, you may submit
  a paper claim along with your itemized receipt to
  BCBS for reimbursement

2012 calendar year
contribution limits
• Notification emails to participating employees
  will be sent no later than December 1
• Employees will be able to view their personal
  contributions limits on Review My Insurance
  Benefits web page soon
• Changes made on UTRetirement Manager by
  December 14 will become effective as of
  December 1 and will impact the January 2, 2012
  • December 1, 2011 paycheck still counts for towards
     this year’s contribution limit
