CV - SUMMARY (ISABEL CARSTENS-ROOS) Isabel Carstens-Roos, Managing Director of Isa Carstens Health and Skin Care Academy are married to Gerhard Roos, Admin Director of Isa Carstens Group of Companies. Her daughter Isabel is currently studying Health and Skin Care at Isa Carstens Academy. Isabel and her family lives in Stellenbosch and she enjoys hiking, bird watching, reading and music in her private time. Under the successful leadership of Isabel the company is involved with a number of community service projects within and around Stellenbosch. The main focus is giving back to the community; just to name a few – our Senior Citizens Days at the academy where we treat our senior citizens with a free facial, manicure and pedicure, this great experience happens four times per academic year. Our special involvement with the Gabriella and Little Angels Centres in Somerset West – these are centres for children with special needs – the third year group of students provide special massages to these children and also raising funds for them throughout the year. Isabel acts as an examiner for the South African Association of Health and Skin Care Professionals and CIDESCO. She leads the company during 1999 to become a provincial winner in a national Business Competition (Old Mutual) in South Africa. Under her leadership the Isa Carstens Academy offers training programmes which has been accredited by Services Seta, PAB, SAQA and registered by the Department of Higher Education. She received the SAAHSP President’s trophy for a presentation at the CIDESCO World Congress in Athens Greece during 1997. She also presented a Paper at the CIDESCO World Congress in Hong Kong during 2001 – Beauty Therapy in a University Setting” Isabel will talk on: Education and Training of Health and Skincare Therapists within the South African Skincare Industry.
