The following pages outline my EXACT business model. I’ve taken the time to put this blueprint together so that you can copy exactly what I do and (with some consistency) start achieving the same results that I achieve. But before we continue… I’d like to touch on a few important points. PLEASE read these points carefully as they will help set the foundation for your success. #1. This guide is void of any “frills”. The purpose of this guide is not to provide you with 100’s of pages of fluff; this guide is short on purpose. My intention is to say: “Here’s what I do…now either do it or don’t, the choice is yours”. Also – if you notice any typos then please just ignore them…chances are you got this guide for less than $50 , so please just look at the content and stop worrying about whether or not I misspelled something – WHO CARES!! #2. This is NOT a get rich overnight blueprint. If I had something like that, I’d surely be giving it to you. One of the biggest factors that has attributed to my success is when I finally reached the point where I accepted the fact that I’m not going to make a million dollars in 2 weeks. It’s time you come to the same realization. #3. You MUST understand that the MLM you’re currently involved in is NOT the key to you making money. This guide shows you how your current company is just ONE way to make money with my system. If you want to start making serious money (while at the same time growing your downline) then stop focusing on your MLM Company and start focusing on YOU. #4. If you’re not going to take consistent action then just stop reading now and go on about your day. The reality is that those of us who are seeing success did one thing that the rest of you have not done yet. What is it? I’ll tell you…We took consistent action towards a SPECIFIC goal UNTIL we started seeing results. In other words, we stopped saying to ourselves: “This stinks, I’ve been doing xyz for 2 weeks and I’m not getting any results!” Instead we started saying: “What specific actions can I take today to move my business forward?” - Do you see the difference? #5. Stop blaming everyone else for where you’re, in life. I’m not throwing stones here. To be honest, I was that guy who always got mad because I attended a $4,000 seminar and then didn’t make any money afterwards. After years of blaming others I finally started taking some responsibility for my actions (or inactions)…that’s when I started making money. I know that there’s a 90% chance that you’re broke, tired, etc… Look, we’ve all been there, Heck – I even filed for bankruptcy at the age of 23. I went broke trying to figure out this “home business” game. If I had it to do all over again, I would 4 simply follow the directions in this guide. But then again, this guide wasn’t around in 2005 . #6. You need to write down specific/realistic goals and review them every night before you go to bed and every morning when you wake up. Look, you can argue with me on this one if you want to but I’m telling you what I do. Don’t do things differently and then expect the same results I get –it’s that simple! Also – Make sure your goals are realistic If you’ve never made a dime on the internet or in a network marketing company then chances are that you’re not going to make $10,000 in the next 30 days. A general rule of thumb that I like to use is this: Add up all of your monthly bills: Mortgage/Rent Car Utilities Etc… For most people this will total around $2,000.This is the number that you should shoot for in monthly income in the next 90 days (assuming you’ve never made any significant money in a home business) #7. Stop looking for some magic pill…THERE IS NO SUCH THING. If I knew a way to place one ad in a newspaper for $6, have that ad be seen by 1,000 people, and then have 300 of them give me $500 (without you having to talk to them) I wouldn’t even be writing this for you. Look, I know that’s what you want (heck that’s what we all want) but it doesn’t’ work like that. #8. If you’ve been following me for any significant period of time, then chances are pretty good that you’ve seen some of the concepts in this manual. Chances are also pretty good that you still haven’t implemented these strategies even though you’ve heard them from me 999 times…well, let’s hope that the 1000th time is the charm. I started implementing these concepts 2 YEARS after I first heard about them. Please don't make the same mistake I did. #9. My ultimate suggestion to you, (if you want to start seeing results faster), is to get some coaching. I’m not talking about motivational coaching (which I love). I’m talking about “lets sit down and get some work done together” coaching. There are literally dozens of times where it took me 3 days to figure out something that a coach could have shown me in 5 minutes. If I had it all to do over again, I would sit down with a coach (physically), have my computer in front of me, and have the coach PHYSICALLY help me set everything up. Yes, I know that’s an “ideal” situation and that not everyone can do it, but I will tell you this: You will shave MONTHS (if not years) off of your learning curve and easily save THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS if you find a way to get someone to help you! 5 MY FOUNDATION It’s important that you understand that my business model is not based on any ONE particular MLM/business opportunity. It’s based on my list. Opportunities come and go but the relationship I have with my list, is forever. Not too long ago, I decided to get involved in an opportunity which I thought had HUGE potential. I jumped in at pre-launch time, sent out 4 e-mails over the course of 2 days, and had almost 200 people sign up below me! All in 48 hours, all without spending a dime on advertising, all without physically talking to anyone on the phone. So, when you hear me say – I signed up 200 people in 2 days, now you know that it’s true. BUT you need to understand that the ONLY reason I’m able to do that is because of the actions that I started taking back in 2005. Now, take the actions that I started doing in 2005 , and imagine that I started doing them in 2001 instead (when I FIRST started)…where would I be today? I’m not suggesting that it will take you 3 years to get where I am. You’ll be able to do it much more quickly because I’ll be here to coach you along the way. But even if I could go back in time, I know that it would take me at least 3-6 months of CONSISTENT action before I started seeing any really solid results. Why would it take 3-6 months? Because of what we call a tipping point. Let me explain… In life, there comes a time where you start seeing REALLY big results. This “tipping point” (point where things start tipping heavily in your favor) usually only occurs after you’ve been taking consistent action for a while. The problem is that most people will never take action long enough to reach that tipping point Let me explain this another way… If you churn cream long enough it eventually becomes butter. The problem is that most of us churn the cream for about 5 minutes, then we get mad because our arm hurts, then we give up and say that it’s impossible to churn cream into butter. Here’s an even better example! If you double a penny every day for a month…how much money would you have at the end of the month? It took 2/3 of the month for us to even get to an amount of money that was anything significant! The first 20 days we go from $0.01 to $5,242. But over the last 10 days we go from $10K to over $10 million!!! The reason most of us fail is because we never stay with ONE THING long enough to reach “day #20”…most of us quit after day #3. If you purchased this manual thinking it was going to be a bashing of the traditional way of doing network marketing you were wrong. Believe it or not I am a firm believer in traditional methods. But what I am not, is, not stupid enough to think that there are no other methods out there that can also help you create a massive organization. You see me and my fiancée have created a massive organization within our company using only traditional network marketing methods. Then you are going to have to find a way to recruit massive amounts of people into your business on an on going basis…. In my personal opinion that is just not possible without the use of the internet and our marketing system. Why? Well, a long time ago, way back in time….. before the internet days….. seems like an eternity…… companies and networkers had it easy. Yes Easy! When you brought someone into your business, they were loyal to you, they were loyal to your company and they tended to stick around and give it a fair shot. It is almost like your opportunity had a bit of a buffer zone around it. In this day and age, thanks to the internet, times have changed. This can happen to you too… So how do you do this? 18 Simple… It comes down to understanding that there are only two reasons why people will join you in your business over all the other businesses out there. Reason #1) You are perceived as a leader who can help them achieve their goals. Reason #2) You have a marketing system in place that they recognize as being the system they need to use to achieve their goals. That is it gang, once you master those two reasons you will never build your MLM business in the same manner ever again. The rest of this manual is dedicated to showing you exactly how to do that The Secret To Becoming A Leader Really when it comes down to it, becoming a leader is not as hard as one might think. The surest way to become a leader can be summed up in the famous quote of Zig Ziglars. “You Can Have Everything In Life You Want, If You Will Just Help Enough Other People Get What They Want” That is it gang, simply find a way to help as many people become successful as they possibly can in this industry and you will at the same time be positioning yourself as an expert/leader in this industry, attracting the masses to you and hence achieving everything you have every desired. You see our whole marketing system is based around this principle of Zig Ziglars. 19 So to get started with your marketing system, you must first identify who it is you are marketing too. Who is your target market? Now I know this whole concept of a target market is foreign to most network marketers, simply because the majority of us were taught to speak to everyone we know and not prejudge them, and while this works in your warm market, it will not work when you move to prospecting on the internet. Actually it is the quickest way to go broke on the net. It is crucial to your success that we determine exactly who it is we are going after. In my personal opinion there are two categories of people you can target: Category #1) People who are presently in the MLM industry, people who have been in the MLM industry, people who are looking to get into industry Category #2) People who are looking for your specific company. In both of these cases I can promise you that if you approach them with the strategy of focusing on your company, products, timing or compensation plan, you will lose! That is what everyone else is doing! You cannot win if you are zigging along with the rest of the crowd! Leaders stand out! You see none of them care about those things, they only care about HOW you or your marketing system will help them achieve their goals and dreams. Both of these target markets have a separate although similar strategy associated with them. For now we are going to focus on Category #1! So again we have decided to go after people who are presently in the MLM industry, who have been in the MLM industry before, and who are looking to get into the MLM industry. 20 Now that we know “who” we are going after what do we do? Here Comes “ The MLM Downline Code Concept “……. Here is a brief overview of how it works and then we will go into more details on each individual section of the marketing system in the rest of the manual. The basis of this whole concept is to attract prospects to you and to set yourself up as a leader who they want to join. So remember we have already established who we are targeting…… now we need to do some online marketing in order to have people arrive at our website that we call our capture page. The whole purpose of this capture page is to capture your prospects contact information, typically their name, email and phone number, so you can market your opportunity to them forever. You will get your prospect to leave you their contact information on your capture page by enticing them to provide you with this information in exchange for information from you that they believe will help them achieve their goals, such as a free 7 day MLM Downline Building Secrets Boot Camp or a course of some kind or even a pdf document. Their information is then stored in what we call auto responders. Auto responders are simply pieces of software that create and store the contact info of your prospects. These auto responders then provide you with the ability to send out on going emails to your prospect list forever! The emails you will then send out provide the prospect with loads and loads of helpful information, designed to help them get started creating a successful 21 business. The more you can give away the better! (remember Zig Ziglar’s quote….. “You Can Have Everything In Life You Want, If You Will Just Help Enough Other People Get What They Want”) By developing this relationship with your prospect, by providing them with all of this useful information you are ingraining in their head the fact that you are someone who cares, someone who is helping them learn the correct methods to achieve their goals, someone who can help them attain all of their desires, you are their friend and more importantly a LEADER who they need to work with!!! This eventually dawns on them, with the help of your marketing and they literally contact you wanting to work with you! Or if you are a go getter as I am, you can even contact them and as a result of all of the great information you have been giving them they are very very very excited to hear from you. It is almost like you are Donald Trump in their eyes! Truly amazing! You will literally have people calling you wanting to work with you, because they just know you can help them… why? Because you have already been helping them with all the information you have been providing them with. 22 Viola! Mission Accomplished!! Attraction Marketing at its best. Now that you have a general idea of how it all works, let’s get into the heavy stuff and get you cranking! A Word Of Caution: Moving forward we are going to cover quite a few items, and to some of you this is going to seem like a lot of information. My advice is to start with the items I tell you are key to your success and then as you master them move onto other items we discuss in this manual. The key items I will mark with a (KEY ITEM) next to the title. Do not get caught in the perfection trap! Many people think that they have to know how to do it all before they get started! And although this may sound good, what happens is you end up wasting so much time studying and researching that you fool yourself into thinking you are working when in fact you are seriously wasting time and in many cases most people never end up getting started at all. This “simple one page site” is often called a “squeeze page” or a “lead capture page”. Truth be told, I really don't care what you call it. The only thing I care about is that you have one and that you’re driving ALL of your traffic to that ONE page! This concept is CRITICAL. When someone asks me what my website is I give them ONE answer…my squeeze page! I don't tell them about the opportunities I’m promoting or anything else. If I spend money on advertising I spend it advertising MY squeeze page so that I can build MY list! It’s THAT simple. If all you have is a squeeze page (and a way to communicate with the people that opt in. I.E. an auto-responder) then you’ve got a 40% head start on everyone else. The purpose of your squeeze page is to simply say to someone: “Hey…I have info on how you can succeed in your MLM program. I’ll give you this info for free and all you’ll have to do is type your name and e-mail into the fields provided” Please note that there are NO other options on your squeeze page & that your squeeze page has NOTHING to do with the Opportunity you’re promoting…(please read that last statement 20 more times so that it sinks in!) Here’s what a sample squeeze page might look like… 24 Here are a few examples of some other good capture pages: www.The7GreatLiesOfNetworkMarketing.com www.GetNetMlmProfits.com www.Buildingonabudget.com As you can see in all three of these examples the whole purpose of them being in existence is to capture your contact information. Key Components To A Capture Page Ok, now that you know the purpose of the capture page, lets talk about what goes into designing a capture page. What are the key elements that you must have in your capture page? Key Element #1: Building The Capture Page I know that there are a ton of you now wondering how do I build this page, I am not a web designer and know nothing about building websites. Well you are in luck…. First off, capture pages are the simplest of all web pages to build. You do not even need graphics on your site to make it successful and in most cases graphics are a no no! The most successful pulling capture page of all time was all text. The only time you want a picture on your capture page is if it is representing a lifestyle picture. If it shows you living life to the fullest and you are involved in some sort of activity that others would wish they were doing. An activity that is a direct result of the success you are now having in your life because of your success in MLM. When in doubt leave it out! Ok so building your site….. There are a couple of options, 25 First, you can go out and purchase a copy of either dream weaver or front page. These are software programs that make designing a website very easy, you need not know html at all . If you go this route there is a learning curve and it will take you some time to figure it all out, but a great skill to have for sure. My advice is to go with the next option while learning working on learning how to build websites in your spare time. Second, and by far the option I would recommend is Marketing Makeover Generator This is a company who has an incredible program that allows you to build a capture page simply by pointing and clicking. You can have your site up and running ready to produce massive leads for you in less than 30 minutes. Very easy to use, any six year could use it. (Seriously!! It is point and click stuff) They produce capture pages that are professional looking and highly effective. They also allow you the option of designing numerous capture pages, that will rotate between each other. So every time someone new comes to your site they are seeing a different capture page. This is very powerful as it allows you to test different capture pages, so you can determine which one works the best and stick with it! (Quick Tip… always be testing to see what works better) Key Element # 2: The Headline This is the first thing that your prospect is going to see when they come to your page. It must draw their attention. It has to be attention grabbing. The headline can literally make or break your capture page. Make sure it is targeted towards what your target market is looking for. Since you are in MLM yourself, it should be very easy to come up with some items that you know would be of interest to people in the MLM business. What would interest or entice you to read further? 26 Start your title off with attention grabbing words such as Discover, Learn, & Exposed. Also Red is the best color to use and tests have also proven that putting quotation marks around your title grabs peoples attention even better! It should be no more then 3-4 lines tops and my advice for your font and size is 18pts red Tahoma, Arial or Verdana. Key Element #3: The Sub Headline This is usually the smaller text directly under the headline. While some capture pages do not have this, the majority do and I recommend you do also. Basically the purpose of this section is to tell your readers what to do next. Keep it short 1-3 lines. For example: “Read on to discover the secret method of how you can have hundreds of prospects contacting you on a daily bases, credit card in hand!” As you can see we are telling the prospect exactly what to do… Key Element #4: Bullet Points Based On Benefits Not Features Gang, Benefits Sell!! Too many people try and sell the features of their system, product or business! Nobody cares about the features, they care about what the benefits are to them. Focus on what they will get out of it. This section is where you want to list 3-6 of the key benefits of what they are going to discover with your boot camp. Be sure to put them in bullet point form. Make sure they are specific and to the point. Here is an example of selling using only a feature: “Learn how to design a powerful marketing system like ours.” Now here is an example of selling using a benefit. 27 “How to design marketing systems that are so powerful.... your prospect has no other option but to contact you immediately wanting to join your business.” Do you see the difference? It is a big one. The first one focused only on the feature and had nothing to do with the prospect or what the marketing system can do for them. The second example is ALL about the prospect, it shows them the benefit of the marketing system and what it will do for them! Key Element #5: The Data Field This is the area where your prospect will enter in their personal information that will then be sent to you and to your auto responder. I will get into more details on how to set this up in the auto responder section However I will leave you with this…… You will notice that on some websites after you fill in your contact info that the button you hit to enter your info is labeled “Submit”. Do not do this. You will get far better results if you use something along the lines of “Start My Free Boot Camp Now”. Key Element #6: The Field Headline This is the section directly above the data field. A key tip to keep in mind is you always need to be telling the client what to do next. This section simply tells the prospect to enter their data in the form. For example: “To Start Your Boot Camp Immediately Fill Out The Short Form Below” Key Element #7: The Sales Copy Sales copy are the words that you use on your website or emails and even your ads you will run. 28 Writing copy is a skill and probably the most important skill ever. Once you learn how to write copy you can literally go anywhere and create a serious income on the internet in no time. This is definitely not a course in writing copy as that would be a course in and of itself. However, here are a few short tips. First you need to always be thinking from the point of view of the prospect. It makes no difference what you think, it is all about what they think. So when writing your copy, try and always be thinking what would entice you into moving to the next step if you were the prospect. You see moving the prospect to the next step is what every line of copy you write is all about. The purpose of every line is to move them to the next line and you want to get so good at this that your sales copy is like a slippery slop, that has your prospect sliding all the way to the end of your copy and to the desired end result that you want your prospect to take. Second, there are two methods that you can use to get good at writing copy. Method #1: Dan Kennedy, is one of the top copy writers in the business and has published a book called “The Ultimate Sales Letter” and it is the bible for copywriting. You will absolutely need a copy! You Can Click Here To Get A Copy Method #2: When you find sites that have great copy, sites that have enticed you to buy or intrigued you, write them out! Yup…. Hand write them out, over and over again. Remember this is a skill you will learn, it will take time, so do not wait until you consider yourself a pro at it, get started now. Be Sure To Ask For A “Hands On “ Coaching Option….. 30 Part 2 – Your Auto-Responder If you’ll notice on the above image (the picture of the squeeze page) there is an opt in box where someone can type in their information. This part of the squeeze page is known as an “opt-in box”. When someone types their name and e-mail address into an opt-in box, their information gets dumped in to what we call an auto-responder. Here’s my definition of an Auto-Responder: An auto-responder is a thingy that automatically sends pre-written emails to people who opt in at pre-determined times. It also allows us to send out emails to everyone who ever opted in to our list with a push of a button; this is known as a “blast” or “broadcast” message. Now, when someone first opts-in on your squeeze page, your auto-responder will need to be set up so that it sends them a message that says “Thanks for opting in”. Then you’ll need to pre-load your auto-responder with a series of at least 7 messages that are going to go out to people automatically. These messages should be mostly content because the more content you share with people, the more they’ll think you’re an expert and the more likely they’ll be to buy something from you later on down the road. Why 7 Messages? Because it takes multiple touches in order for people to start getting used to you! This is not an EXACT number; it’s just the minimum that I recommend. There are lots of quality auto-responders that you can use: Aweber, Constant Contact, iContact, Etc… However The Best One I Would Recommend You Is AWEBER. You can pick up your copy at http://www.mlmguruankur.aweber.com It is very easy to set up and their tutorials are excellent and will walk you through the whole process. The Auto-Responder is the ONE TOOL that I use EVERYDAY! You MUST get comfortable with adding messages to (and sending messages from) your auto-responder. This is how you will build a relationship with your list and then be able to turn your list into money! What most people fail to realize is that when people talk about “their lists”, what they’re really talking about is the number of people that have typed their name and e-mail address into a box on their opt-in page. Once someone types their info into the box on your opt-in page, their info gets “dumped” into your auto-responder and that person is not “on your list”. I hope I’m making sense because it’s VERY important that you understand that concept! 31 As is the case with everything else; you have options regarding getting your autoresponder set up Choice one – get the auto-responder of your choosing and figure out how to use it yourself (this is what I did and it took me days to learn it). Choice two – If you decide to go with Marketing Makeover Generator for your Capture Page, they allow you to integrate Aweber into their system and the two of these combined will work together to create you a very powerful marketing machine. However I’m not gonna lie… If you’re a complete novice trying to set this stuff up, it can at times seem like a daunting task. It’s not that any of this stuff is really really really hard…it’s just that setting most of this stuff up is foreign to us at first. This is why I recommend GETTING HELP! When I first started using an auto-responder, I spent about 45 minutes trying to figure out how to send a “broadcast” message to my entire list of 3 people – LOL. I got a tech person to help me out and in 5 minutes I was rocking and rolling IMPORTANT- When you were learning to walk, tie your shoes, drive a car, play checkers, etc… You had a HUMAN BEING walking you through the process. QUESITON – If “hands on” learning is so effective; why not do it in business as well? And Here Is Your Solution To Perfect Hands On Learning : http://www.NextMlmGuru.com 32 Step #3: Your Auto Responder Email Messages (KEY ITEM) Ok now that you know how to set up your auto responder there are some guidelines that you need to follow in order to create a successful auto responder series. First off, do not wait until you have your whole auto responder email series typed up before you start marketing your business. This is a serious waste of precious prospecting time, plus you will always be adding to your series of messages. My advice to start with is to get everything in place, your capture page, etc and then start marketing your system using the techniques we will discuss later on in this manual and then simply start writing at least one email message a week to be loaded into your auto responder. You can start out by advertising on your capture page that you have a 5-10 day course that runs for 5-10 weeks, which would mean they get one message a week! This is a great place to start. Then as you load up more messages you can eventually adjust it to where they are getting 2 messages a week and then 3 and so on and so forth. Ideally you want to get to a place where you are communicating with your list every 2 days. Some people go for twice a day but I believe this is overkill and you do not want to annoy your prospects as they will just unsubscribe from your list, which is as easy to do as a click of their mouse and they are gone for ever! Remember this phrase and it will earn you millions: “The Fortune Is In The Follow Up” It is a fine line you walk between staying in their minds and annoying them. The best way to stay on their good side is to contact them every 2 days with Loads and Loads Of valuable information. You want your prospects to be looking forward to hearing from you, anxiously waiting to see what new tidbits of information you are going to be sharing with them today Do not hammer them with your business…This is not the purpose of these messages and it will back fire on you. 33 Remember the following statement…. “People Do Not Like To Be Sold….. But They Love To Buy” So how do we trigger this love of buying? By making them think it is their own idea! And the way we do this is by providing them with all kinds of information that is not only helpful to them but positions you as an expert……. Everyone wants to work with the expert. Through out your emails weave in stories or examples of how you have helped people in your organization do exciting things, talk about your company but in a way that is not coming across as trying to sell it to people. The best way to do this is to not even mention it by name. Be careful here, this is not hard, but do not get over zealous and start selling. Eventually these prospects are going to want to see what you do, eventually these prospects are going to start thinking to themselves, “geez would it not be great to work with this expert, this guy or gal could really help me” and they will literally start calling you. On top of that if you are a bit more aggressive and I recommend you do this, be sure to trap their phone numbers in your capture page and after they have been in your system for 30-60 days and you have developed a relationship with them and positioned yourself as an expert, pick up the phone and give them a call, let them know you are looking for 3 more leaders to develop. These types of calls will be like none other that you have ever done in your MLM career, these people will be so excited to hear from you it will freak you out. You have become like Donald Trump to them and they are so honored you called them. The next method that you can use to attract some prospects to your primary opportunity is to have a link at the end of every one of your emails you send out, right under your signature. You can have this link go to another site you created that talks about your opportunity, however from a marketing perspective, meaning how you market your opportunity. Remember nobody cares about your product, company, compensation plan, timing, etc! 34 They only care about what you can do for them and the system you have that will help them. So on this new site, focus on the system you use and how it works perfectly with the company/opportunity that you are involved with at this time. Keys to remember: 2) Sell yourself first as the expert 3) Sell the marketing system you use next 4) And lastly touch on the company you are with Building this type of site takes a bit of skill, however using a web design software like Dreamweaver is not that difficult once you get the hang of it. Definitely a great skill to learn if you are serious about building your MLM business using the internet. However with this type of site you will have to learn how to write good copy. You definitely want to create a long sales copy type site. These are the type of sites that are based off of the old direct sales letters you get in your snail mail. And they work like magic. A long sales letter will out pull a short sales letter every single time. Again this will require that you study up on how to write copy… Another great option if you do not want to build a website yourself for whatever reason is: You can hire someone else to create the site for you. Outsourcing is very popular these days. www.Elance.com is the best resources for this, you can post the job you want done and professionals will bid on your job and you can even read reviews on the people who are bidding on your job. And of course using MySpace will also work. Simply create a MySpace profile that uses the same formula we just talked about. 1) Focus on selling yourself as the leader first! Be sure to include lifestyle pictures throughout your MySpace page. 2) Then spend a lot of time focusing on how you can relate with the problems 35 most networkers have when it comes to recruiting and how you developed an incredible network from this approach 3) And finally touch on the company you are using your system to build an organization with, simply by putting a few links on your page, suggesting they can check it out if they like. Be sure to include ways that your prospects can get in touch with you (phone number & email are important). Ok, I know I was a bit off topic there, however that info I just shared with you is the next level stuff and very powerful. Lets get back to your auto responder messages you are creating. When creating a course for your prospects you can literally base it on any of the problems that may be facing network marketers. Here are just a few examples: 1) How to prospect your warm market 2) How to prospect your cold market 3) How to prospect using the internet 4) How to create duplication within your organization I mean the list simply goes on and on. Some people ask me, “Well, I am not an expert at any of these things, how can I create a course based on this?” There are basically two answers to this… 1) Simply go and interview someone in your organization who is an expert on any of these subjects or other subjects and have it transcribed into text and divided it up into 5-10 email messages that you send out 2) The second option is go and get educated on whatever topic you want to create your series around. This is not difficult Buddy. It was not that long ago that I did not have a clue how to market on the internet. It simply takes investing in yourself, buying the courses, reading the books, listening to the audios and before long you will be an expert in that field. That is all any of the experts you see out there have done. 36 The key to remember with this whole process Buddy, is that it is not get rich quick scheme. This is a long term but extremely powerful strategy, that once in place, will do more for you than you have ever imagined. The key is to get started and stay committed to it. So now that we have our auto responder messages in place, you can simply continue to add to them on a weekly basis and before long you will have tons of messages that are being sent out all the time marketing for you. Well we just explained to you how to target the 1 group. st The 2 group is done pretty much the same way, and by the way, if people are nd looking for your specific opportunity these are HIGHLY targeted leads, the absolute best kind. The only difference in your marketing system here is that you focus on showing these prospects how your team and your organization is better than all of the other ones because of the marketing system you have and how it can build them a larger, more profitable business faster than any other organizations. (Notice the benefits?) 37 Remember. Do not get into doing what everyone else in your company is doing. Do not sell the product, do not sell the new compensation plan, or the incredible timing, etc. You need to stand out from the crowd, be different. And remember the prospect does not care…. If they are searching for your company they are looking for one of two things. 1) A leader they can join 2) And/or a marketing system that can help them to reach THEIR goals! So set it up the same way, have your bullet points on your capture page talk about how using your system can have them recruiting 10-20 new people a month into their organization, allowing them to earn six figures in record time. (I am sure you are getting the idea) Then in your auto responder messages, do the same thing, give them tons of information and focus on the marketing system and how it works incredibly well with your company and how as a result your organization is stampeding past the other organizations in the company. Set this system up like this and you will have the other teams in your company begging you to share your secrets with them…… So Using Internet , you will stand out of the competition……. 38 Funded Proposals : List Monetization, Your MLM, And Affiliate Programs Before you start reading this section I highly suggest that you go back to the very first part of this e-book, where I give you 9 important points to being successful. Go back to point #3 and read it about 7 times. The reason I stress point #3 so much is because one of the HARDEST things for me to get people to understand is the fact that their MLM company is not the “best in the world”. MLM Companies brainwash you to think that their juice is “the best” or that their compensation plan is “the best”. Pardon my language but all of that is bullshit! Take a look at any of the “heavy hitters” in this industry or any of the heavy hitters in YOUR company. The truth of the matter is that they (like me) could join pretty much ANY opportunity and have a significant sized down line in a matter of days. When you stop and think about this, you will start to realize that the secret to success is not in your company, the secret to success is in you! Here’s what I mean… Let’s pretend that Oprah Winfrey is standing on stage giving a speech to about 100 people. At the end of Oprah’s speech, she tells people about a new MLM company that she’s involved with…she invites the 100 people to join her MLM company. So, here’s the question: How many out of 100 people do you think would join? Answer: I don't know, but my guess is that it would be the majority of them. So let’s pretend the number is 75 out of 100. I don't think this is far fetched because we’ve all seen what happens when she recommends a book! But here’s the REAL question: Why did 75 people just join Oprah’s down line? Why didn’t they say: “That’s just another pyramid scheme!” I’ll tell you why….It’s because Oprah has CREDIBILITY! People see her as more successful and they follow her! I’m not suggesting that you should go start your own daytime talk show, but what I am suggesting is that you can establish the same type of “expert credibility” with the people on your who have opted in on your squeeze page. The way you establish “expert credibility” is by constantly contacting your list, and sending them good information. Once you have started building your list and forming a relationship with them, the next question is this: How Do You Turn Your List Into Money?! Needless to say, that’s a million dollar question. And the short answer is this: You make money from your list by selling them things (or selling them into things)! Whenever I get to this point in my explanation people always say the following 39 “Ankur , I GET IT!!! I build a list of people INTERESTED in MLM by offering them information on how to become successful in MLM…then, I sell them into my MLM because people who are already involved in this industry are more likely to join another MLM. Not to mention the facts that: 1. They now have a relationship with me and 2. They may even already have a down line.” When people say the above statement to me I immediately get happy and sad at the same time. I’m happy because I can see that the information I’m teaching is starting to sink in. But I’m sad because they still don't get the fact that this is NOT about their MLM. While the above statement is 100% true; it leaves out an important addition…What I want people to really grasp is this “Build a list of people INTERESTED in MLM by offering them information on how to become successful in MLM…then, You can sell them into your MLM because people who are already involved in this industry are more likely to join another MLM. Not to mention the facts that: 1. They now have a relationship with you and 2. They may even already have a downline…..BUT…you can also make additional streams of income by selling ‘MLM products’ to your list. Selling ‘other MLM products’ to your list will often make you more money than trying to get them to join your MLM!” What do I mean by “MLM products”? Well, think about it like this Your list will consist of people involved the home based business industry. Some of these people will be active in an MLM program and some will be inactive. Some will be very very very in love with their company and some will not be. Some will be new to this industry and some will be more seasoned. Some will know a decent amount about marketing and some will not. The point I’m making is that your list will consist of a large cross-section of people. As such, it is silly for you to think that all of them will want to join YOUR MLM company. The reality is that you can (and probably will) make more money by selling “picks & shovels” than you will trying to sell people into your MLM company…at least at first. Here’s why. Let’s pretend that 60% of your list is active in an MLM company. If this is the case then tell me what is easier to do: 1. Convince them to leave their MLM company and join yours, or… 2. Convince them to get a book that will show them how to close more sales in their current MLM company I’m telling you from personal experience that #2 is WWAAAYYYY easier to do than #1. 40 Not to mention the fact that in order to convince someone to join your MLM company, you’re probably going to have to talk to them. This is especially true if they don't know you that well, or they just hopped on your list 24 hours ago. But you can tell someone about $50 e-book and they can make a buying decision: 1. At 2 In the morning while you are fast asleep 2. Without having to talk to you 3. Without needing a lot of credibility to act based off of your recommendation Are you starting to see what I’m trying to get at? There are literally dozens and dozens of products that you can find on the internet to sell to your list. Of course you’ll want to make sure that what you tell your list about is congruent with the reason that they opted in to be on your list. In other words, no selling weight loss stuff to a group of home business opportunity seekers. Here is where you can start : The DownLineCode Affiliate program (hint hint) Click Here for details. This method is very powerful. Now what happens is they are in your auto respond series and you can market your business to them, however since they were redirected to the www.TheDownlineCode.com page after signing into your auto responder, you will have a good number of those prospects purchase the course and since you are the affiliate that sent them to us you earn a very nice commission of 50%. I trust you are seeing the power in this. So instead of earning only on your main business you are now earning a very significant income on the sales from any referrals who purchase this course! This provides you with an income that you would never have seen if you did not implement this secret tactic. If you’ve ever heard me on one of my tele-seminars or webinars, then you know that I like to talk about “Multiple Streams of NON – CONFLICTING Income”. Let me give you an example of what I mean. Pretend you have: A real estate investing business A vending machine business & A network marketing company These 3 things have nothing to do with each other. This is NOT how you get rich! This is how most people define multiple streams of income and this is why they end up buying a 41 bunch of stuff and then going broke! However, if you follow my business model and you start building your list of network marketers; then you can: - Sell your list into your MLM - Sell your list e-books and other tools associated with MLM - Invite your list on to teleseminar and have other people sell your list - Etc.. Does that make sense? Even as I type this document, I’ve got income (most of it residual) coming in from many different sources…but all of it has to do with stuff I’ve told my list about over time! Go back to the page that has my business diagram on it. Look at the box that says Main Offer : Your MLM Program Or High Converting MLM Affiliate Product What I am suggesting to you is that once a person opts-in on your list, the VERY NEXT thing they should see is either: 1. The replicated MLM site that your company gives you, or… 2. A high converting affiliate offer. Here’s the reality… The majority of MLM companies have very crappy websites. These companies know nothing about direct marketing or ad copy, and their websites look like brochures. If you think that someone is going to opt-in on your list, see your MLM companies replicated page, then magically join…sorry, you’re sorely mistaken. A more realistic scenario is to have a person opt in to your page, then on the next page they see a product that doesn’t cost a lot of money that can help them grow their MLM. People are often likely to buy a “widget” that can help them see success in their home business right after they’ve opted into a page that offers them free information on how to succeed in a home based business. This is I why I suggest that you DO NOT try to tell them about your particular opportunity right off the bat. Instead, tell them about a tool/book/widget that can help them succeed in MLM, and make sure YOU get the affiliate commission for it. The great thing about affiliate programs is that - you don't create the product 42 - you don't have to ship anything to anyone you don't have to process any credit cards you don’t have to talk to anyone YOU get the check! I know that this section has been kind of long; but some of the points that I wanted you to understand were: - The easiest way to make money once someone has opted into your list is to sell them something that is going to help them grow THEIR business - Selling someone into your MLM is only ONE way to make money…and it’s often not even the most lucrative way - If you want your list to buy from you, you’ve got to follow up with them and send them e-mails frequently (NO LESS than 1-2 times a week). Make sure your e-mails are not always trying to sell something, include some good content too! - To “monetize” means “to turn into money”. There are a million ways to monetize your list, as long as you stay focused in ONE main area then you can create multiple streams of income that don't conflict with each other. 43 - If you’re going to try to sell something to your list that is a little bit pricy (or requires significant long term commitment) then do yourself a favor and sell it over a teleseminar. - If you’re not taking advantage of affiliate programs then you’re really missing the boat! Quick Recap By now you should: - Have your squeeze page up (hosting, domain name, ad copy, etc…) - Have your auto-responder hooked up to your squeeze page - Have at least 7-12 follow-up messages pre-loaded into your auto-responder. - Have at lest 1-2 affiliate programs you plan on selling in addition to your MLM company (if you’re active) Once you have all of this stuff up, I consider you to be done “laying the foundation”. Needless to say, it’s important to do things in order so you MUST lay the foundation before we go on to the next section . Well, guess what: There is no magic pill for driving traffic either. For years I would search and search and search for the “secret” way to drive traffic that would get me 2000 unique/quality visitors to my site everyday. I searched for this “traffic secret” for years, but I never found it. Even after hanging out with all of the top internet marketers I STILL never found the magical way to drive a ton of traffic to my site for little-no money. Would you like to know why I never found it? BECAUSE IT DOESN’T EXIST! Actually, let me retract that last statement…If you become best friends with all the top people with lists and convince them to send a mailing to their lists for you, THEN, you would have a ton of quality unique visitors for next to nothing. But the chances of that happening are pretty slim to none…so let’s get back to reality. The reality of the situation is that when it comes to traffic driving there are 3 rules. 1. If someone is promising you 8000 unique visitors to your website for $29.97 – RUN THE OTHER WAY 2. Of all the “quality” ways to drive traffic…Everything Works 3. Of all the “quality” ways to drive traffic…Everything doesn’t work When I say that “everything works” and that “everything doesn’t work”; what I’m really saying is that you need to be consistent if you want to see success. Here are a handful of the “quality” ways to drive traffic to your squeeze page. - Pay Per Click - SEO - Blog commenting - Forum commenting - Articles - Solo-Ads - Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc… - JV’s & Affiliates - Surfing the traffic exchanges - Squidoo…… Now, if you’ve been involved in this industry for any significant period of time, then you’re probably aware of most of this stuff. The reality is that ALL of this stuff works. But you have to be willing to do it consistently if you want to see any results! Now would be a good time to go back and view that explanation of what happens when you double a penny everyday. So, which traffic driving methods to I do… Honestly Speaking I Would love To Tell you That Majority of My Success Came From Free Traffic Methods But Unfortunately that is not the case. 45 PPC ( Pay – Per – Click ) Forms The Core of My Traffic Generation For the simple reason it is fast , Predictable and is very helpful in testing……… I Can Easily Say PPC Is The The King Source Of Traffic For Online Marketing Well I can tell you I dithered and thought and thought about introducing you first to Google Adwords or not and the reason is that it costs money to get started and if you are not doing it right it can cost you a ton of money. However in my opinion there is simply nothing more powerful when it comes to marketing on the internet than Google AdWords. Now do not misunderstand me, there are numerous other ways that cost nothing that will provide you with more than enough leads to create a massive organization. However nothing can get you up and running as fast or continue to deliver you results once you have it set up like Google Ad words, because once it is set up it is 100% automated. So what exactly is Google AdWords? These are Google AdWords. People pay to put their ad there. So when someone does a search for “MLM training” or “MLM Leads” and if this is a key word you used when you placed your Google ad, your ad will show up on the left hand side. Now if you learn how to create the right type of ads there stand a great chance that this prospect will click on your ad and be sent to your capture page. The beauty of Google AdWords is, you only have to pay Google when someone actually clicks on your ad. So this means you are paying for highly targeted clicks! And if money is an issue this is the method I would start with first, start earning some money by driving people to your capture page using MySpace (and maybe some of the other methods we will discuss) and then expand into the Google AdWords. 200,000,000 people plus are now on MySpace! That is a lot of people, do you think in there some where you could find 10, 20, 50, 100 even 1000’s of people who want to work with you? Well, I can tell you from personal experience that if you know what you are doing you can find that many and more. My very first person I brought into my business using these strategies was from MySpace and within one week she had brought in 7 new tripod sign-ups ($660 orders each)!!!! The beauty of MySpace is you can literally find the exact type of person who is the ideal fit for your business. This method works incredibly well, costs nothing once you are set up and is by 48 far the most duplicatable prospecting activity that you can do on the internet. I have taught numerous people in my downline how to use this method to become very profitable. So what is MySpace? It is simply a massive web community that allows each individual person to create their own website for free. MySpace allows you to meet new people and add them as friends, by doing searches for people who fit your search criteria such as income range, profession, age, gender, location, etc. The searching and adding friends is where the real power is in this method. MySpace has set it up so you can search specifically for whatever type of person you want. So if I want to target network marketers or business seekers it is very easy to do so in MySpace. Are you getting this? You have access to thousands and thousands of people who are looking for exactly what you have to give them. Can you say WOW!! So the basis of how this works is very much based on attraction marketing. You will create a MySpace page (profile) that tells your story, focuses on selling yourself, i.e. setting yourself up as a leader and then it focus on your marketing system that you use. From there you have links on your site that point towards your capture page. As you continue to invite more and more people to be your friends, they will first come to your MySpace page to see what you are all about, read your story and click on the link! And because of how you will set up your site, by the time people get to your link they will be more than ready, actually hungry to click on it to see how you as a leader or how your marketing system can help them. This is an extremely powerful strategy of generating traffic. Ok, you are going to need two things to get started. First you need to pick up a copy of “Friends Blaster Pro”….. Although MySpace is a very user friendly option for marketing online, you can not figure it all out on your own and unfortunately there is no way I could teach you all you need to know in this manual. By now you have probably come across Squidoo in your travels and in most cases have probably not even been aware of it. Squidoo is an incredible new method of marketing on the internet. It is basically another web community, however the concept behind it is totally different then MySpace. It was designed by one of the greatest marketers on the planet, a man by the name of Seth Godin. He created Squidoo as a method where by, people can basically create their very own one page website based on anything they desire to create it on. These one page websites are called “Lens”. What is very cool about Squidoo is the search engines love it, especial y Google, and as such they tend to give great rankings to any Squidoo pages you create, 50 meaning there is a real possibility that your Squidoo lens could get ranked very high in the search engines, which means tons and tons of traffic for you. So how does it work? Well to begin with there is no limit to the amount of lens you can create. So what I do is simply choose a key word based around what my target market would be searching for and create a lens in Squidoo about that key word and of course at the bottom of the lens I have a link to my capture page or myspace page. So for example, we are targeting Network Marketers. Let’s say for this example I decided to use “MLM Leads” as my keyword. I would then create a lens based around how to generate “MLM Leads” using this marketing system. The information would be very helpful to the person doing the search and at the bottom of the lens I would invite them to visit my webpage (capture page) for more information or to take a FREE course, etc. This is a very basic overview of how Squidoo works, however if you decide to market using Squidoo then the "Squidoo Secrets Apprentice Program" is a FREE program that is created by the number one Squidoo expert on the net, “Bob The Teacher” and is sure to get you going very quickly on Squidoo Article Submissions For years, article marketing has been a staple of the internet marketing community. There are even individuals that now only focus on & teach article marketing. If you’ve never heard of article marketing, let me give you a brief overview. An “article” is a 400 to 800 word chuck of content on a particular subject. “Experts” (and I use that term loosely) write articles on their particular subject matter and then post the article to what’s known as an article directory. An example of an article directory would be a place like http://ezinearticles.com There are literally dozens upon dozens of article directories on the internet. The more articles you have on the article directories, the more exposure you have. The more exposure you have, the more potential traffic to your site. When someone reads an article 2 things happen 1. The author of the article gains instant credibility 2. The person can learn more about the author by checking out the author’s website (yes, you get to include a link to your website at the bottom of every article) There are people who write and submit so many articles that their articles are viewed by 51 hundreds (or even thousands) of people every single day. But as I’ve said time and time again; it’s not going to happen overnight. It takes CONSISTENCY. One of the great things about article marketing (besides the fact that it’s free) is that article marketing is the gateway to the next form of traffic driving that I want to talk about. Press Releases, Audio, and Video In today’s internet, there is a heavy push towards social media and “non-paid” exposure. Example: A video is seen on YouTube that talks about a method for getting a dog to sit. At the end of the video, there is a message that says: “For more videos like this visit www.trainmydog.com . (No, I don't know if this is a real site or not ;-) Example: A press release is written about some event that has happened. Someone reads the press release and is interested in the “event” that’s going on. The press release informs its readers to visit a certain website for more information. The neat part about these type of exposure is that they are all FREE! Another important point to note is that you can actually take one article and re-purpose the content inside the article so that you now have - An article - A press release - A video - An audio Once you’ve got all 4 formats, you can submit each form to the appropriate places on the web (there are literally hundreds if not thousands) Example: Make one video and submit it to YouTube, Viddler, Google Video, etc… Blog And Forum Commenting Another great (and free) way to get traffic to your site is to post comments on the blogs and forums of others. When you sign up to become a member of a forum (or leave a comment on someone’s blog) a link to your website will show up at the bottom of every post that you do. The key here is to not advertise who you are or what you do. Remember, blogs and forums are “communities”, and as such, you’ll get more/better results if you become an active/contributing member of the community. To find “MLM” blogs and forums simply go to google and type in “MLM blog” or “network marketing forum” Sign up to become a member of the forums you find and then bookmark all of the blogs you find. On a regular basis (daily) go to these blogs and forums and post comments 52 and/or responses to the comments that others have posted. If someone posts a question, answer it honestly. Don't just start “spamming” the forums by saying stuff like: ”I was struggling in MLM until I found these secrets”. If you do that you will get kicked out in no time flat. Paid Advertising One area thing that you’ll want to do consistently (when your budget allows it) is to go ahead and pay for advertising. This is something that I do on a regular basis and if you know where to go, you’ll usually get pretty good results. Here are a few of the paid advertising things I do on a regular basis. Times of India (Business Section ) – Place a tiny classified ad in the weekend edition of newspaper. The “business opportunities” section is perfect because it’s filled with people advertising their particular program. But instead of you advertising your MLM program (like everyone else) you simply place an ad that says something like Struggling In MLM? Learn The Secrets To Growing Your Downline At Lightning Speed www.YourWebsite.com Hindustan Times Similarly Other National Newspapers of Different Countries Apart From The Above Mentioned techniques , My Mentor Mike Dillard has put together an Excellent set of free videos detailing you how to build any home–business for less than $500 Click Here To Have The Free Access To Those Videos : Outsourcing Secrets (This Is A VERY Important Section) At the beginning of the “traffic driving” section I told you that one of my secrets to success is not necessarily in paying for advertising; but instead in outsourcing the all of the free traffic driving techniques. Free traffic driving techniques do work, but the one caveat is that you’ve got to do a bunch of it. If you start surfing the traffic exchanges, submitting articles, and commenting on blogs and forums then you might not see any results at first. But if you do it everyday for 2-3 hours a day, then at the end of 2 months you will have a TON of exposure going to your site on a regular basis. 53 But there is another option…get someone else to do it for you! You see, instead of paying for advertising, I pay other people to do the free stuff for me. Why? Because over time, I know that this will be a lot more valuable for me that just paying for a one-time classified ad or a one-time email blast. There are literally dozens of places where you can go, to have people work for you for pennies on the dollar. One of the keys to success is focusing on the tasks that only you can do (like staying in contact with your list), and letting someone else to the mundane/time consuming tasks that need to be done on a daily basis. Since we all have the same 24 hours in a day, it’s important to focus on the things that are the most important and leave the rest to “virtual assistants”. Virtual assistants (VA’s) are people that work remotely and complete tasks that you don't want to (or don't have time to) do. Often times they reside as far away as India or some other country; and because of monetary exchange rates, you can get them to work for you for a fraction of what you would pay someone in the U.S.A, Canada, or England. The one warning I will give you is that you will NOT want “non-English speaking” VA’s to do any writing tasks for you. If you want to outsource a writing task (writing ten st articles for example) then you MUST make sure that the English is the VA’s 1 language. But aside from writing tasks, it usually doesn’t matter what language they speak. If you want to start being successful then you’ve got to learn to start outsourcing your life! There are literally dozens of places to find virtual assistants. Usually I will use one of the following places when looking for a VA. www.Elance.com www.ScriptLance.com www.ODesk.com If you’ve ever seen any software I’ve created or if you I need someone to do something technical for me then I simply go to one of the places above and I “Post a Project”. In other words, if there is something that I don't want to do (or something I don't know how to do) then I go scriptlance.com or elance.com and I write out EXACTLY what I want done in FULL detail. Usually within 24 hours I’ve found about at least a dozen people who desire to complete the project for me. I simply look at the price they’re charging and the time frame they can do it in, then I look at the feedback that other people have left regarding the work they do, then I choose the person I like the best. The neat thing about outsourcing is that there is NO LIMIT to what you can have outsourced. Here are just a few of ideas that popped into my head as I am writing this. come up with keywords for my PPC account article submission graphic creation website design creating a list of all of the Poodles available for sale in the Atlanta area 54 yes I’m serious surfing the traffic exchanges e-mailing safe-lists finding the contact information of all of the top network marketers in a certain company posting ads on craigslist with a link back to my site friend requesting everyone on myspace or facebook that has the word “MLM” in their profile Etc…(I could literally go on for hours) 55 Is This Duplicateable And How Can I Involve My Team As I said at the beginning of this manual, this method is not very duplicatable, and unlike most of the other people teaching this method, that is a big reason why I am being very upfront with you on how to proceed, when I say you need to stay engaged in the warm market activities so you can teach the people you enroll how to build a business using those techniques. In this industry, in the end the people who create wealth are the ones who become leaders!! Becoming a leader is also not very duplicateable by the way. It is something you have to make the decision you are going to do and work very hard on it. This Downline Code Zagging strategy is excellent for people who desire and have made the commitment to themselves to become leaders. Now even though some of the people you bring in will be able to use this method and actually want to. I would still make sure they are using both methods for the same reason you need to be. So here is how I see it…. Lets’ say I enroll 10 people…… 56 Maybe 2 of them will be able to and want to use the internet to the same capacity that I am. With these people I teach them these exact same skills that were taught in this manual. Out of that 10, I would say an additional 6 of them will be interested in the possibilities of what the internet can do for their business, however they will not have the time nor patience to learn the skills required to master the techniques taught in this manual. With these people I will give them the option of joining in on a team cooperative advertising program. I basically will sell shares and with the proceeds I will advertise on Google Ad Words and as the leads come in I divided them up evenly between the members of the CO-OP, based on how many shares they purchased. This allows them to focus on converting these highly qualified leads into team members, instead of spending months studying internet marketing. The remaining 2 new team members will simply want to build the business using their warm market and following your strong lead as their leader! Either way they choose to go, this is simply a numbers game for you and it is win win regardless! Does The Company You Join Make A Difference In The Level Of Success You Can Achieve? I can’t stand it when I hear these marketers online running around telling people that the program they are selling will work for anyone in any company! GARBAGE!! That is such a lie it is unreal. You see, there are literally thousands and thousands of companies you can join in this industry…… some of them are a complete waste of time, some of them you can make a bit of money with, some of them you can do pretty good at and others that you can literally create more money then you ever dreamed was possible. Now you will not hear any other supposed expert in this field talking like this….. Why? 57 Because they are afraid of upsetting the people who buy their courses and losing business as a result. Not me…. I am a full disclosure guy and quite honestly would not be able to sleep at night if I told someone who was in a garbage company that they were on the right track. The truth about the different companies is very easy to uncover if you were to spend a good amount of time researching the industry and its history. But as we all know this is not how people get involved in this industry, most of them spend zero time researching the industry and simply listen to all of the hype that the company they are looking at is throwing at them. Of course they are going to make it sound good….. do you think there is one company out there who is not saying they are the best? Myself I was unlike 99.99% of the people who join this industry My fiancée and I spent time and money studying the industry, looking at the history, what companies have done the best, why they have done the best, which companies have created the most millionaires and where in the life cycle of these companies did that take place. Yes, I was tempted by the hype that the different companies were preaching…. However, having a business development background, I understood the importance of doing your homework or due diligence before putting your money and time behind any opportunity. Here is what I found. In the end there are 5 types of companies or opportunities in this industry that you could involve yourself in. Number one is without a doubt the scams and schemes. These are the dreaded pyramid schemes every network marketer has heard about. Buddy ,as much as I love this great industry, there are simply bad people out there, whose only agenda is to scam money from people. They absolutely exist in this industry. How can you tell if a company fits into this category? Well there are a few sure fire ways…. 58 Number one if you are invited to an info meeting and are told not to bring any police or lawyer friends with you, that may be a clue! I know that sounds funny, however I am serious, I have had that happen to me. Another way is if there is no product associated with the opportunity that is a pyramid. Also if you get paid to recruit someone into your business, stay away as the regulators will be shutting it down. The only time you can get compensated in this industry is when a product or service is provided to someone that you have referred to the company Number two type of company are your party planners. These are the companies that are very much based on direct selling via a retail model. Meaning you are basically playing store and will have to retail either plastic dishes, kitchen utensils, candles, clothes, kids toys, etc to your friends and family in order to make any money. Most of these type of companies recommend that you have kitchen parties. There are actually a lot of good companies in this category, very stable, have great products, have been around for years….. however it is very very tough to be able to create any serious type of income here. There are always exceptions to the rule, but it is a hard slug! Number three type of company are your low growth, slow growth companies. These are the companies who have actually been around for 10, 15, or 20 plus years. They do a few hundred million a year in sales, but they have never actually hit it big. They have never hit the exponential growth curb to become one of the big boys, the billion dollar companies. They will tell their distributors….. “We have been around for 10 years and still have not hit the exponential growth curb…. But it is coming and when it does… wow…. Is wealth going to be created for you guys” Well buddy that is bull s*#^!! The truth of the matter is if a company has not hit their exponential growth curb 59 by their 10 year in business…. It is NOT going to happen! th Even though many of these companies have great products and people involved it makes no difference…. You see the real problem is they are stagnant… they are not seeing any growth. And the problem for people in these companies is, if the company is not growing there is no way you can grow your business in a major way with them, because it is impossible to out grow the company! Number four type of company in this industry are the Giants! These are the highly successful companies… the billion dollar a year companies! These companies have been around for 10, 20, 30, even 50 plus years. There are about 10-15 of these companies in the industry. They have created more millionaires than all of the other companies combined. Great people, great products, the whole deal. Now from the outside these companies look like the ones to join if you are looking at an opportunity. I mean they are stable……. Is that not the number one factor when looking at a business? Well I am sure most people would answer yes to that question….. BUT… Yup you guessed it, NOT me! You see I almost fell for that trap, however thanks to my research and due diligence I discovered there was a much better option. So what is the better option? Company Number Five! – The Holy Grail. This is such a little known secret in this industry it is unreal. Now ALL of the top income earners in this industry are aware of it, you can count on it. But for the average ordinary person who is just trying to make it in the network 60 marketing business, they have no idea that this category exists. So what is it? It is the brand new start up company! NOW HOLD ON…… before you run out and look for the latest company to hit the industry there is a whole lot more you need to know. Being a brand new start up company is nowhere near enough to be considered a category five company. No, a category five company is a brand new start up company that has ALL of the same criteria in place at launch that the category four or the giants of this industry had in place when they launched. Gang, it just makes sense! How do you become successful? You model success! The category five company does that. They insure that all of their ducks are in a row before they open for business. You see you can literally go back in time and study all of the top companies, you will see it. You will see that they all had the following in place: #1) Massive financial backing. Buddy this is by far the most important criteria. I am sure we have all heard the nightmare statistics of how 90% of all businesses go out of business in their first two years. Why is that? They ran out of money!! You see business is tough, you have no idea what you will need the cash for but one thing is for sure…you will need it. What happens if you do not have enough money and you hit a bump in the road as all businesses do? Well, you will end up going out of business because you can not get back up! You can not fail if you have money in the bank. #2) A brand new product idea. Now I am not talking about a different type of pill or a different type of juice or anything else that is knock off of an existing 61 product on the market. I am talking about a completely new idea!! Buddy this is where fortunes are made in business. People who are first to market win, period! All the others are copy cat me too companies! Not once has a copy cat company every surpassed an original idea, it just does not happen. For example…. What do you call the item you clean your ears with in the morning? If you said Q-tip, you are wrong! It is a cotton swab! Q-tip is a brand name, and they were first to market, and they won! What do you call the mechanical machine you drive over the snow on? If you said a Ski-Doo you are wrong…. It is a snowmobile! A Ski-Doo is a brand name and they were first to market! How about Coke? No other cola has ever caught them, why? They were first to market. How about MacDonald’s? An even new example that is by far one of the most successful business launches in history is the Listerine breath strips! Now look at that market…. Everyone has a breath strip… even Halls!! But guess what? Nobody has been able to come even close to what Listerine has done with their breath strips…… Why? FIRST TO MARKET WINS!! Buddy, when you are with a company that is a first to market company, life is so much easier.
