BSA Cub Scout Pack 193 Parent’s Promise
Dear Pack Parents,

As you know, our Pack’s Scouting program depends on volunteers to make the Scouting experience a positive and
enjoyable one for each boy in the Pack. The Pack cannot function successfully without sufficient parental involvement.
When you register a Scout with our Pack, you make a personal commitment to support his Scouting efforts, in
many ways, such as, by:
 Reviewing the Pack’s Rules of Conduct with your son
 Getting him on time to all his Den and Pack meetings
 Assisting his den leaders when they ask for help
 Helping him to advance in his rank
 Coming with him and participating in Pack meetings
 Volunteering some of your time or talent to make our Pack a success

In regards to this last point, please review the following options, make two selections, sign below, and return this form
along with your son’s completed registration forms. We are asking each family to volunteer twice, once at a major
event (Blue & Gold Dinner or Pinewood Derby) and with any other position through the year. It's important that you
number your preferences in case the position you'd like is already filled. The Pack will be more successful with your
help.

Your application to the Pack will not be complete without this form filled out indicating how you will volunteer to help
us with at least two of the Pack’s needs. If you support an event by volunteering, and take on another role, the Pack
will waive the January Registration Fee.
Please select one Event Committee position and
one volunteer position per family below
Please note that most of these committees require only 1-2 hours of your time to be a success, so that it
does not become a large commitment for any individual.

Please pick your top 3 choices and number them in order of your preference for each
section. Only 1 Event Committee role is required per family:
 I will volunteer as an ACTIVE member of the one Event committee indicated below during the
Scouting year. Choose teams numbered 1, 2, & 3 in order of your preference:
Blue & Gold Dinner – Choose to be a member of one team. Please circle any committee you are willing to lead:
             Hospitality
             Food
             Decorations
             Entertainment
             Setup/Cleanup

                OR
Pinewood Derby – Choose to be a member of one team. Please circle any committee you are willing to lead:
             Setup Track/Cleanup Track
             Weigh In/Registration
 Track Crew – Judges, Starters and Car movers
             Pack Snack Fundraiser

group below in addition to the Event Committee selected above.
