Clause Originally Read Section 5. Parliamentarian
Provisos A) B) C) Shall be appointed by the Student Body President with the approval of 2/3 of the Legislature. The term of Parliamentarian shall be the last nine months of the appointing Student Body President’s term. Not adhering to any of the requirements or duties listed in this section of the Constitution shall be considered dereliction of duty and will result in punitive action and may result in impeachment.
Requirements A) B) Duties A) B) C) D) E) F) G) H) Shall advise the Legislature on technical matters of procedure set forth by that body. Shall insure order and decorum while the Legislature is in session. Shall monitor and assess all SGA members’ behavior. Shall document and maintain records of attendance, office hours, and service hour requirements. Shall coordinate with the Student Body Vice President on the appointment process for vacant positions. Shall serve as a member of the Executive Cabinet. Shall serve as a member of the SGA Planning Board. Shall serve as chair person of the Constitutional Affairs Committee. Shall have completed one semester as a full-time UNCW student, and must have a current and cumulative grade point average no lower than 2.5. Shall receive a monthly stipend of $150.
