SCHOOL-WIDE EVENT: Host a school-wide event that encourages consumption of more fruits and
vegetables and increased physical activity. This event may be either a stand alone fair/festival or may be
incorporated with Open House, Back to School Night or other school-sponsored event. The entire
leadership team will participate in these activities.

NUTRITION ADVISORY COUNCIL (NAC): Establish a Nutrition Advisory Council to promote healthy
eating, physical activity and policy changes at school and in the community. A NAC Advisor will be
selected to form and advise this student-led group (grades 3 -12). The entire leadership team will work
with and support NAC. All activities will utilize Network guidelines and the School Wellness Policy. NAC
Advisor must complete mandatory Orientation Training.
